KNOWN ISSUES FOR MARSHMALLOW FIRMWARE:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

KNOWN HARDWARE ISSUES:

Hardware Issue 1 : External Speaker Excessive Distortion.

- At above 75% volume, the external speaker sound tends to distorted. My unit doesn't have this issue. But if ur P2 has this, the Service Centre will replace the speaker under warranty.

Hardware Issue 2 : Camera Break.
- Worldwide but not common.
- Unknown reasons.
- After certain activity/task, when launching the camera app, an error message "Can't Connect to the Camera" and/or "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped".
- Hard reset doesn't solve the camera break issue, and sending to Service Centre is the best options.

Hardware Issue 3 : Depressed screen panel on the left and right sides of fingerprint scanner.
- Affecting certain manufacturing batch(es).
- Applying tempered glass resulting air bubble at the depressed/"sunken" zones.
- Suggest to return for replacement or, warranty, if possible. However, my unit does NOT have this issue.

TIPS & TRICKS:

Trick 1 : Nano-SIM and microSD Card Combined Project.. Alternatively, can try the nano-SIM Extender.

With a huge battery like that and no fast charge option, it's going to be a nightmare waiting for the phone to finish charging to 100% ...

There is 24W quick charge. It's Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0

Attached Image

Anyway, even if we don't have QC adapter, can charge overnight coz no need to worry battery depleted from 6AM to 11:59PM every day. There is no way this phone will die in the middle of the day even if gaming/navigation from 9AM to 5PM... (hopefully...)

Everything looks great, AMOLED 4gb RAM, 5k mAh.

The only question is whether Lenovo will give OS update.

Lenovo is well known for 1 year Android update cycle. Meaning, Android Nougat is guaranteed. But Android Oreo is not to be enjoyed unless XDA team(s) appreciate its potential.

Most likely only 1 Android update, which is Nougat. At least it's something.

Lenovo is quite lazy when it comes to updating their phones, but they were worse before acquiring Motorola. Maybe they learned a thing or two from Motorola.

At least they're still better than some certain brand that sells overpriced mediocre phones with "selfie expert" gimmick and leave their customers stuck on Lollipop.

Is the second sim slot data/4g capable also, or is it just the one slot for data? Can anyone confirm?
Historically, lenovo phones had been a mixed bag in this aspect. My lenovo vibe shot can do 4g on both sim slots. Other models not so lucky.
