can anyone suggest which lubes that I can use to lube topre sliders? preferably with taobao links if possible. From what I read, the lube should be oil based and of low/thin viscosity hmm.gif or is there any local alternatives that I could go with?

Anyone could suggest PBT keycaps with a colour scheme as close as possible to my Filco Majestouch? I'm planning to use it in the office, so would like to blend in with the black-white 'professional' profile.

if you wanted to preserve original typing feels as much as possible, with a little bit of silencing effects, just follow their suggestions and get a pre-mixed lube.

ideally i also read that thick grease is for topre stabilizers only. however i use it to lube sliders rails anyway. i painted a thin layer only and let the sliders do the rest. personally i don't feel any gummy thing that they have described.

Yup smile.gif

As long as it fits my Filco, and doesn't develop a shine over extended use, I'm up for it.

I got the Fuhlen from kuzumitaiga. I think it’s perfectly priced for a newcomer to MKBs. Around 200. I think he has cheaper models too. Highly recommended seller. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

iinm jtk.wob is double-shot abs.

300thecat, you can look for iKBC key cap sets at taobao. it's more like white on dark grey, but it should be good enough. alternatively just any one with oem profile will do. (filco uses oem profile afaik)

here is one random link i found on taobao: link

alternatively you can go for white on black side printed keycaps, which adds a bit of stealthy-ness on top of its professional look.

If you are not too fixed on getting white on black, I do recommend black on dark grey PBT dye-subbed keyset too.

So, high quality apuble shot abs or cheap taobao pbt is better? Both are about the same price. Good pbt keycaps like the corsair ones cost a cheap mech kb. lol

tbh it's really a personal preference. high-quality abs key cap sets have their unique values in the eyes of mkb enthusiasts, and for good reasons. good sets cost more than 4x cheap mkb.

just don't go for pbt caps that are too cheap at taobao (i.e. those < myr 40.00). usually they are thin (the typing feels are not so nice imo), and have random defects here and there.

edit: found this when i looked for more alternatives about lube mixtures, https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboard..._keyboard_lube/

maybe useful for others that wanna have more affordable options for making own lubes.

These look absolutely amazing. But the price...

Can consider high-quality ABS as well. I'm just looking for something shine resistant and keycaps don't fade.

I used to be budget minded last time... buy motospeed pbt caps (alpha only) from lazada taobao.
When received package, open up..thickness almost same as stock abs for most keyboard ~1.0 mm..typing feel is cheap abs..not pbt...waste RM37.
Better put your money on something you can confirm quality than shooting in the dark at taobao..sometime the ads is oversell the items.
unless got sifu here can recommend with link best bang for buck pbt caps.

no wonder.. yeah 1.0mm is thin.

actually a good link for white on black thick double-shot pbt caps has been posted previously; here is the same set from kbdfans, https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=525408060695 (limited stock; slightly cheaper)

note that the space bar has 3 white dot-like patterns.
