Maintenance means they send some crew to go dig up some fiber optic cables somewhere and give them a good wipeover with "glo" and plant them back again. And the slow speed is because the tractor also accidently cut a few cables while digging them up.

After disconnection for one whole day and night, my 'excellent' connection of about one week is back to 'normal'.

I wanna rant! Farkup telekom/tmnet/gvment support them provide such a terrible and lousy streamyx. Broadband my @$$. Snow like snail. Often dc. Lag Lag Lag. Aint cheap also. I've no alternative in my area but to use this crappy service.

man, my life is miserable......
my boss told me to fix our company's network problem right away
and i lied to my boss that the maintenance not yet complete, its should be over on 16 march.
oh god, please forgive every sin i done. i never curse anyone to death before except TMNET.
do please give me blessin to curse tmnet to death!!!!!!!

i think we must write into major newspapers or even sending emails to our ministers... this throttling must stop.. how long must they cheat us customers?? and they compare internet connection to water pipe, ask us to be fair to others..zzzz, my solution, make the water pipe bigger lah duh.... even live messenger file transfer also they wanna kacau.. using "best effort" as a excuse for our sucky speeds
if there is, by chance any other ISP who can provide better service, i will move to it straight away... but this looks impossible now since tmnet monopolize everything... screw them

Aiya i send the email ask is it they having a maintainance last week or what, they say no, but on this post got say streamyx got maintainance, why they don't telling the true or what. Just say no no no and say i got help u do something on it, man i hope u dont do better than do, now my line more slow then before ask for them for a help.

LOL yesterday go cancel my friend streamyx and phone line , at the tm point also have to wait 1/2 hour ! Guess what, there are not really alot of customer there, some of the workers there just stop pressing the button and keep chit chatting only , wtfak they think we go there sit for fun? I really want to scold them but keep my nerve as its not my phone line/streamyx  Mine already cut also , currently not using streamyx anymore

everytime i hate that the tmnet custormer service call and tell u check the phone line work fine or OS or modem like that, they just find some reason to avoid say that they doing something wrong and all point to user problem all the way.

haiya.. Maxis broadband also the same la.. It is getting dc and dc... again and again since 10 Mar 07 till 14 Mar 07. Today back from work, since like maxis broadband recovered already...
haha..... hopefully.....

The one that connect to the pole outside. Is your SNR maintain at 8.5? You said before that your SNR will reduce to 0 and then 21251253 which is same case with me. What about the upstream SNR? Mine will maintain >20 even the downstream SNR goes to 0.
