Definitely 1.5 hands down if got extra cash. I swap mine with my friends 1.8 for test drive, difference in power is very obvious. But only thing is for some reason his 1.8 seem a bit quieter than mine. However, he did not regret choosing the 1.8 due the price difference.

I drove to JB from Melaka over the weekend. Did not realize i was going 170+. Music gets louder when you speed so you don't realize the wind noise and speed until next song change  thumbup.gif

Problems I had with my TCP:
1. Engine grinding during cold start
2. Front bumper gap big (but ok according to HM standard)
3. Back boot doesn't close if you slam hard. It beeps and opens back. HM will look into this on my next visit. they said will change change boot lock mechanism.
4. In general Honda maintenance cost is not cheap

Yup. Waiting for more information on this. Apparently is an updated CVT module from Japan. Not sure what is the long term effects on the grinding issues though... The Americans had it longer than us, but so far no failure/effects other than being an annoyance.

Will inform my SC when I go for my 10K maintenance on 23/12 and report back what they're saying.

Get the turbo. You might feel a tang of regret a couple of years down the line with the 1.8.

After getting the Civic turbo, I don't think I can drive any NA car under 2.5 cc anymore.

You run the application for yourself or your SA help you apply Kuwait finance? Other Local banks are offer minimum 2.7%. If you got kuwait officer's contact, please share to me as well, thus i may run for the loan application myself.

Funny that you mentioned this, my 1.5 TC gets wayyy better highway fuel consumption figures than my gf's Saga. Around town the economy is around the same; if not slightly better. So, in terms of running costs, probably works out to the same a Proton. For a car with close to double the power, very reasonable IMHO.

Will it void warranty if i go wrap leather seats (if i go for 1.8s)? Will it impacted to the deployment of airbags? I have asked SA, SA explained it won't. But as a wise consumer, would like to seek your advice and confirmation here.

Hi, I have gone through from V1 to here! And I guess nobody has yet mentioned anything about the anti-theft issue (correct me if I m wrong smile.gif
I just worry and maybe pessimistic a bit. Does anyone install any anti-theft system in your civic? Seeing that no matter how canggih it is I think they can just break it in anytime soon, maybe it is not necessary.
Mind to share some opinion?

I've got a rattling noise from that area as well although i think its coming from inside the dash close to where the steering column is. Planning to get it looked it when i go in for an oil change. Some of the guys here have had it fixed. Apparently it's the simple matter of tightening something.

Well... anti-theft measures are not usually discussed because it's counter productive to tell people what you did tongue.gif

Depends on how worried you are, or if you're willing to pay a bit more for extra peace of mind. You can install just a simple pedal lock, or install a more sophisticated tracking system like Cobra Connex and Katsana. We did discuss these is V1 I think.

Of course, nobody will want to tell you what they really did to secure their car biggrin.gif

This is the first time I get a push button start type of car. Just want to know the security feature for this kind of technology. How safe is this? Any idea? By the way, if key is not present, how far can they drive the car?
