I was very confused about the servicing of our cars. But after reading these threads, seems like the SCs are just as confused if not more. blink.gif

If confused n dont charge xtra - then okay la..
But tis one charge more pulak..
*
Didn't even get as far as the charges. Was confused initially about the A/B service, and then the mileage service intervals. Only recently found out that we have to do both instead of whichever comes first. I've heard people who manage to sync the A/B service intervals with their mileage ones and get both done together thus saving them the extra trip.

But it also does seem that the SCs are genuinely confused about the service schedule for our cars. Is this the first Honda to run on a schedule like this? Pardon the noobness - first Honda. smile.gif

QUOTE(ciklan @ Nov 25 2016, 01:11 AM)
I went to Honda showroom in October with the intention of booking 1.8 but i left that day with the booking of 1.5TC. Factors for choosing the later:
1. The loan interest is quite attractive so that i can opt for additional 10K loan without adding too much into my monthly installment budget.
2. The leather seat is a must for me since my son is allergic to dust.
3. 17 inches rim looks way better.

That was my logic when i did the booking. Since I was driving Honda Insight for daily commutes, I did not think I need the 1.5TC power since I was driving very light-footed and since I used to own Civic FD1, i think 1.8 power is enough.

I did not regret my decision now since 1.5TC is fun to drive. I do not spent most of my time driving in the right most lane (like the majority of Civic FC owners that I have encountered on the road) but there power is there when i need it. Even with econ mode on, going uphill or overtaking on highways can be done rather effortless.

Just my 2 cents.
*
Now that you mention it, true also la. FCs all bombing down the fast lane. Lol.

Now come to my dilemma. Thinking to take 1.8s or 1.5tc. I may not need such powerful car at the moment but worry that i might regret for not taking 1.5tc in the future. 1.8 power is decent to me but i don't like the rim and fabric seat. If i would upgrade my rim to 17 inches, would it impact to engine power? If i go for 1.8 with some upgrade like wrap leather seat and change bigger rim, does it worth to do that or i just go for 1.5tc better? Some of you may have same situation like me, how do you overcome your own frustration and make the choice?
*
Never thought i needed the power too. I came from a Viva, so the 1.8 would be more than powerful enough. But like yourself, couldn't stomach the fabric seats. Ended up with the 1.5. I have a very uncle driving style, but I have to say the way the powertrain is tuned, it makes overtaking very effortless. The extra power also helps when you're coming out of a junction or merging into traffic; quick traffic especially. And if you drive like an auntie, you'll get 14-15km/l.

Thr way I see it, win win. Hehe. Apart from the extra purchase price and the weird servicing schedule. smile.gif

Guys, thank you for the feedback. Has anyone here did install the LED headlamp on your 1.8 or 1.5TC? Is it costly to do so?
*
Saw someone on one of the FC facebook groups had them installed. If I remember correctly, costs the guy RM3-4k. So, if you want the lights, go for the TC-P.

1.5tc
the rim is ok ok i'd say.
look closer is nice
from far, quite ugly imo.  laugh.gif
*
Agreed. But abit JRD-ish the rims. Lol. When kilat kilat still not too bad. But once the black parts of the rim get a bit dirty. Looks abit cheapo IMHO.

If compared to City one..
macam more or less same.

If compare City to Proton Saga..
all go SC service..also around the same laugh.gif
*
Funny that you mentioned this, my 1.5 TC gets wayyy better highway fuel consumption figures than my gf's Saga. Around town the economy is around the same; if not slightly better. So, in terms of running costs, probably works out to the same a Proton. For a car with close to double the power, very reasonable IMHO.

=( my start stop button nearby dashboard is causing the rattle noise on uneven road i think.
*
I've got a rattling noise from that area as well although i think its coming from inside the dash close to where the steering column is. Planning to get it looked it when i go in for an oil change. Some of the guys here have had it fixed. Apparently it's the simple matter of tightening something.

Hi, anyone manage to get android auto to work? I tried downloading from apk mirror, but ntg seems to work on my Samsung note 5. Any sifu can help?
*
Friend of mine tried it on my car, although not with a Note 5. I believe you have to enable it in settings on the phone first. Cause, when we first plugged it in, it didn't work either. He did some fiddling, connected it to the car, and lo and behold, it worked. I'll try to get more info as to what he did on his phone.

WOP = White orchid pearl? That colour is sweet. Congrats, mate.

Which reminds me that I haven't registered myself in here.

1.5 TCP Lunar Silver; if y'all don't mind adding me to the list, that would be awesome. Thanks admins. smile.gif

Thanks to all for the AA guides. I use carplay myself, but I'm sure it will be helpful to a lot of people. It already has been. Kudos to the guys who took the time to type out those guides. Siap dengan screenshot.

Also, i noticed that GoogleMaps on AA supports directions in the instrument binacle. Similar to how it is with the HU stock navigation app. But AppleMaps doesn't. GoogleMaps FTW.

When i go pump petrol, i take the key with me, leave the passenger inside the car, problem is the car will auto lock if i walk away, and since passenger inside the car so will trigger the alarm.

What should i do if i wanna take the key with me but also leave the passenger inside the car in this case?
*
I leave the key in the car and ask the passenger to lock the car from the inside. smile.gif Yes, it is annoying but such is life. Lol. More annoying is when I open the petrol tank lid, put petrol then cant close it back because the car's locked itself. Have to unlock the car to close the lid. -.-"

QUOTE(bb68 @ Dec 8 2016, 10:44 AM)
I am very close to get one in days. Serious questions needed some opinion as follows:

1. Worth to add 8K for LED + Navigator?
2. Which is the best dealer offer the best discount in December?
3. Will other new variant come to Malaysia in 2017?
4. Saw China variant with sun roof. Available in Malaysia?
*
1. Navigation doesn't make much of a difference since your car will come with CarPlay/AndroidAuto and hence Apple/Google Maps. Another difference that maybe you missed is dualzone climate control. I didn't really care for it before as my previous car doesn't have it, but now that I do, I wouldn't buy another car without it. You'll never fight with your BF/GF/Husband/Wife over the AC temperature ever. Lol. Can't put a price on that can you? As for the lights, I guess that's subjective. Is it worth the 8k? Hell no. But I couldn't resist. So went with the TC-P.

2. As for SAs, scroll a few pages back, you'll find a few. Some of the guys here got 6k worth of rebates.

3. Don't think so anytime soon. Don't think Honda will bring in the hatchback, if they do, I'll kick myself.

4. Nope.

Thanks for the feedback. Ya, i overlook the dual aircon control, that useful to me.
so if i breakdown the cost, it will be like LED 4K + Navigator 1.5K + Dual auto 2K + chrome handle 0.5K = 8K
*
I don't think you can break it down like that. Saw some guy on one of the Facebook groups selling the LED lights for 7.3 k which is crazy. dry.gif

I heard outside shop selling the LED headlights for civic around 4k+ but require to cut wire and settings ECU??? Or reset "something" because of auto headlight things. Not sure about this.. correct me if i'm wrong doh.gif
*
Yup. I've heard this a lot too; including from a friend with a TC. Swapping the lights to the LED units will void your warranty.

True. But is it just me or does thr mirror get a little too dark? Until the point that you can barely see anything other than the other car's lights.
