hi all, im new to GIA and want to clarify something, called their cs but they seem dont know anything

why cant i view the GIA fd in new m2u? only can view in classic web
i will only know the psr upon maturity? any past record of psr this yr i can refer ?
what does it mean by the sharing ratio? let say consumer:bank ratio is 60:40 / psr 3.2% means i will only get 60% of the 3.2% psr?

kindly enlighten  notworthy.gif

no issue with new m2u

you can view the rate after placement.

follow this >> https://www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/mala..._account_i.page?

ignore the PSR ratio. it's just FYI because they need to "declare" how they share profit with you.

you only get the effective rate % as "investor"

you cannot do that for an existing placement.

for new placement, yes, but also subject to the min amount for 1mth tenure (vs 2mth tenure)

for a 2mth tenure, you wont get any interest for premature withdrawal.

Pardon my poor math. so at 3.05%, for 1k placement, 1 month is equal?
3.05%/12×1000=RM2.54?

for 'auto renewal' placements, is the rate fixed at the time of purchase, or will depend on the rate at the date of renewal?

doesnt matter on renewal.

the rate is revised every month on the 16th. existing placement will be adjusted accordingly as well.

eh wait? so if i subscribe at 3.05% on 23rd Oct, the rate will also be revised on 16th Nov? i thought the rate is commited for the whole tenure period (in my case, is 2 months), i.e. until 23rd Dec

What is the rate for GIA now?

Before i place, the link for me to view the rate stated 1 month is 3.2% p.a.

After i place, the rate show 2.25% p.a. sad.gif

Feel like being cheated!

I know now 1 month can withdraw with daily interest, but i didn't know the rate can be so misleading.

Anyone place 1 month, and withdraw is it 2.25% p.a.?

If yes, i will uplift tomorrow.

Is my mistake, initially want to place eFD, the rate for 1 month is 2.9% p.a, click in GIA see is 3.2%p.a, so give a try...
