I also would like to thanks @fruitie for her sharing of first method (refer page1). Her method is working!

My card application got rejected 2 times and no reason was given. Then i tried to split the credit limit and it worked!

Tks for your info and effort to dig out the relevant information!
I feel relief now coz 8% cash rebate is my only reason to apply for this card.

no worries la, i also applied this card just for the 8% biggrin.gif and use it solely at Petronas thumbup.gif

Spend groceries and petrol on other days except for Fridays and Saturdays will have TP x 1.

On birthday month, you will get TPx2 for all spending, but spend groceries and petrol on Fri & Sat only get TPx1 + 5% cash back.

those notes could be old batch and they still keep in circulation.  bangwall.gif

the revision to 8% was effective in Nov 2016. announcement in Oct 2016 >> read here

latest PDS on 1 March 2017 also stated 8% cashback.

i still getting 40+ cashback on 1 March 2017.
unlikely maybank to u-turn their decision this soon considering they went to media to shout the benefits and collabroation with Petronas Dagangan  laugh.gif

Maybank Islamic Bhd eyes a 27% increase in its Maybank Islamic Petronas Ikhwan Visa Card-i membership to 73,000 in the next 12 months following the card’s newly-enhanced features.  sweat.gif

furthermore, maybank must announce the revision at least 21 days before effective date.

The time I got the card also got this piece old info which is 8x point. But that's 2 or 3 months ago

Yeah, Maybank doesn't update their materials. I rather they don't give at all than misleading others. sweat.gif doh.gif Same goes to my VS card when I got mine last year's Oct which still mentions about free PPL access when it has been removed some time back. Not everyone surfs their website to check the latest T&C and benefits, if I want to be nasty I could complain to BNM for Maybank's misleading but I'm just too lazy. laugh.gif

For Petronas Ikhwan card:

1) Any full list of participating shops that gives out points for grocery?

2) • TreatsPoints
- Enjoy 1X TreatPoints for every RM1 spend locally and overseas except Government Bodies, PETRONAS service stations and other petrol stations

So no TreatPoints when buying petrol at Petronas? What?

You get 8% cash back for petrol at Petronas on Sat & Sun and No TreatPoints given for this. It's quite a norm for cash back cards with no points given.

You want cash back + TP use MBB2 Amex card on weekends

cash back Groceries use MBB Ikwan Master (Fri&Sat) but no TP as well OR MBB2 Amex card (Sat&Sun) but not Petronas Ikwan.

If you are a Petronas user, yes it is a must card to have. I asked my sister to apply for this card since she uses exclusively Petronas and Caltex. thumbup.gif

Yeah I think so far this is the best petrol card.
Others are such as Amex 6.25% , UOB one for BHP 7%, ikhwan MasterCard 5%.
