HSBC definitely charges fee for >RM5K IBFT.

IINM, Maybank & Ambank do the same as well.

Hehe I hardly pay RM0.50/transfer, not more than 10 times in a year.
But I paid only RM8 for AF, enjoy good interest rate and rewards/cashback from games.
Much better than other CASA including M2U Savers!

Errr, "no longer" ? UOB just reimposed the 50 cents this year for amounts >5k. Not sure if other banks will follow suit. Instant Transfer only went free some time last year and no banks said that it's going to be indefinite. need to pay attn if you mind that 50 cents.

Like guru Clarence always say for credit cards - you make back more from them. UOB has been consistently giving 4.x% FD interest for fresh fund (other than a period of time when BLR went down quite a bit). Use Instant Transfer to transfer loh. FD mature on Bank A, instant transfer to Bank B FD. 1 year later mature, transfer back to Bank A FD.

"no longer" because mbb earlier charges for >rm5k instant transfer, then to FOC.

yeah. I thought all banks went FOC (as part of encouragement of going cashless?) last year? Now don't know how many will start charging again.

I guess so. So I'm paying attention to the Instant Transfer charges whenever I do it nowadays. Last few months only syok2 Instant Transfer here and there to pay my credit cards.

To pay CC, you can spilt payment to less than RM5000 per transfer to avoid RM0.50 SC.

haha. my CC not so big amount. But I do need to take note just in case banks revert the charges back to 50 cents for any amount of Instant Transfer. Before mid last year it was 50 cents for any amount of Instant Transfer. Now UOB only charge 50 cents for >5000. I remember I saw another bank "free until further notice" but I don't remember which bank.
