QUOTE(cybpsych @ Nov 14 2024, 04:49 PM) Revision to the Consolidated Credit Card Terms effective 6 December 2024https://av.sc.com/my/content/docs/my-notice...cc-terms-vp.pdf From 36k to 96k, that’s steep and crazy. Not that it matters to me but I still find it ridiculous to have such a revision, whoever thought of this must be trying to jeopardize SCB cc business. Not like those are superb cards that one is dying to have.

QUOTE(TongCN @ Nov 18 2024, 10:59 AM) Previously quite fast but this round the retention team wants me to use 3 times (no capped or restriction) and then send a in app message They requested me the same too but before I could spend, the reversal was already credited.

QUOTE(TongCN @ Nov 18 2024, 11:08 AM) Lol.. in the end no need spend 3 times? My difference was they didn't ask me to drop them any messages, said it will be auto-credited once I spend 3x. I notice every time I haven't spent and they already credited back to me.

QUOTE(pokemon @ Dec 3 2024, 05:01 PM) I asked for card termination and hopefully retention team will give me good offer. Did you spend much for SCB cards? Not at all. Less than RM 100 before the AF kicked in. But I spend more now because Journey card is not too bad when it comes to dining spending.

QUOTE(pokemon @ Dec 3 2024, 05:07 PM) The CS told me I need to spend at least RM500 for the last 3 months to get AF waiver. I didn't know about this tip before. Hmm. Not sure but that's not needed for me.

QUOTE(mamamia @ Dec 20 2024, 04:59 PM) They going to discontinue this smart card also right? Smart credit card is no longer accepting new applicants but not discontinued yet I guess. QUOTE(cybpsych @ Dec 20 2024, 05:02 PM) It's crazy to up from 36k p.a. to 96k p.a. for just a mere Simply Cash.

Yesterday was my credit card due date and I paid at night which I always do. The only difference is I usually pay at 8.30pm and last night I paid at 9.40pm. Today I checked and I got charged with late payment charges. I chatted with CS and she sent in waiver for me and subject to approval. I told her my payment is within due date and she said there’s a cutoff in their system. I find it ridiculous to penalize customers for this when we still pay within the due date.
I actually suspected something because usually I will receive SMS and email within half an hour after my payment was made but not yesterday. I only received them at 2am. Anyway, it’s not a big deal for me but it’s something SCB should look into.

QUOTE(gerald7 @ Dec 31 2024, 02:04 PM) I usually pay a day before due, just in case of system errors or what nots. Yeah that’s individual’s preference. Again it’s not customers’ fault to know their system cutoff.

QUOTE(victorian @ Dec 31 2024, 02:45 PM) why wanna take the risk and pay during due date? that's just asking for trouble What trouble? There’s instant payment, that’s the purpose. I never had any issues with payment on due date for all banks. For HLB and SCB, will charge late payment if past due dates. Other banks will have grace period but I don’t do that and will pay on due date.

QUOTE(victorian @ Dec 31 2024, 03:13 PM) I mean, from statement date to due date that's 20 days. Any reason to pay on the last day? Individual preference and with instant payment, there’s no issue at all. For HLB BT, have to pay on the expiry date anyway so I only set my calendar to pay everything on the due date and not earlier.

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Dec 31 2024, 04:13 PM) Duitnow Transfer / instant transfer is not 100% reliable. Also the bank App/Web can be offline or cooling-off (delay 12 hours so next day) If that happens, I’m sure banks will understand. Anyway, it’s really not a big issue but just wanting to let others know about SCB’s system. Moreover getting on hold of their CS is not easy these days, so plan your payment accordingly. For me, I’m OK because I’m tagged as their premium customer so can chat with them on the app.

QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Jan 21 2025, 09:39 AM) Just RM2 only you can't let go? RM 28 not RM 2. He has RM 28 now but it requires min RM 30 to withdraw. QUOTE(soonwai @ Jan 21 2025, 10:04 AM) Bye bye soon. It's AF time and SCB said no to my request for waiver so have requested for CC cancelation. Already settled the balance, now waiting to redeem(?) the balance of the 0% installment. RM8 stuck in rewards. Maybe they will call to retain you soon.

I was charged late payment and interest for my previous statement payment. Due date is 2nd January. I made direct transfer from maybank on that date 11.30pm +/-. (Transaction date 2/1/25, posting date 3/1/25) Tried to call and request for waiver, request created but rejected. May i know why i was being charged late payment even i paid on that date. Is there any other way that i can do to waive those late charges? Thank you It happened to me recently too but SCB waived it for me. Maybe you can try again.

I got charged interest for this. Other banks I do not have this issue. Probably it's time to clear all and terminate this card. Same thing happened to me last month but they waived for me.

Not sure if it is a terminal's limitation or SCB's. I paid before using Apple Pay (with Apple Watch) for amount RM 7xx. Today I wanted to pay a bill of RM 8xx, it didn't work with the Apple Watch and iPhone. I had to use my physical card and only it went through. Luckily I brought the card along today.

QUOTE(Kelvin8998 @ Feb 9 2025, 01:09 AM) Might be SCB limitation. SCB cards all have a daily limit of RM1k via contactless (this includes Apple Pay). So once you hit the 1k daily contactless limit, it will decline and you’ll have to use the physical card. I’ve experienced this multiple times when using Apple Pay until I called up one day and got the above explanation from CS. However, I’ve also had my Apple Pay transactions getting declined although I’ve not hit the rm1k limit. So am not too sure how do they calculate it. Whilst I understand it’s for safety in case your card is stolen, its frustrating to say the least when there’s no option to increase this contactless spend limit (especially when using Apple Pay). I see. So, it’s common then. However, I have not hit the 1k daily limit yet and when I paid for this bill. Anyway, hopefully I won’t encounter it again though most of the time I will have the physical card with me but it’s inconvenient to be compared with Apple Pay.

Their system cut-off issue that happened to me in Dec and charged with me interests but I managed to get all waived. However, the problem still carries on till Feb. My January payment had no more issue as I paid way early, so I chatted with CS again this morning and she said it is due to the Dec and this should be the last time I'm being charged with this interest. To be honest, I don't really understand her explanation but I told her this is the last time I will tolerate with this nonsense. I will terminate all SCB cards as they are the only bank which gives a lot of inconveniences. She said she will put in a request to waive this interest as well.

QUOTE(TheLegend27 @ Feb 15 2025, 11:14 AM) example your due date is 15th with RM2000 (interest included). so u ask for waive interest it become 1950 and u pay it on 18th. then next month statement show interest is between 15th to 18th likely. that’s why need waive 2 times I didn’t pay late actually.
