How to get their CS on phone? It’s already 12 minutes and still nobody is free to pick up my calls. I cannot login to the app on my new phone hence I cannot use the in-app chat which I have been using for years. It’s really a painful moment to change to a new phone when it comes to logging into banking apps.

I got charged with AF and SST for both my Journey and Smart Card, didn't manage to get any rebate or waiver so I asked to cancel since I hardly use them anyway. Yesterday, the retention team called and offered to waive everything for both cards provided I spend 3x with no minimal amount on each card. I gladly accepted and reloaded ShopeePay RM 1x6. laugh.gif

I forgot to update here. Two days later, everything was credited back to my card, so it's all good now.

To be honest, I don't have any CASA with them, many years ago they gave to me automatically when I got the SCB WM (now known as Journey card).

Nope. Paid nothing. My payment due date was 27th August and when I called that time it wasn't due yet. The retention team called me also before the due date and told me to perform 3x asap so that it can be waived before 27th. I did all and they were waived before my due date.

Please understand the difference of AF waiver and SST waiver. SST cannot be waived but can get a cash back. AF can be waived by banks. So all can be discussed, just know what term to discuss.

I never pay any AF for Journey card since I had it from 2017. I never spend 60k per year, not even RM 6k or RM 600 sometimes. laugh.gif
I ask for waiver every year and they will waive. This year, they didn't allow so I asked to cancel, immediately offered with waiver. laugh.gif

In addition, I get RM 25 cash back every year for SST with 3x spending no minimal amount.

My first card with them was 2013, hence it was printed from 2013 onward but I think for WM was 2017.
After so many years, this year was the most difficult for me but at least they still waived for me. So, I decided to keep it.
I still have other banks, even without SCB I'm OK actually but since they agreed, ok la continue another year.

Yeah but I have other cards for that too. Their miles conversion for dining is not bad, so these days I have switched to them for dining spending.
Next year should be easier to get waiver. tongue.gif
