Noticed this damage when pumping air for my tires, will the tire need to be replaced?

Personally I would not be concerned. Sidewall most important is no penetration. The outer rubber just for cosmetic.[attachmentid=10268270]

I wonder.Personally I take the figures on review site as an indicator. I feel that most tyre with really good braking/cornering performance will have slightly stiffer sidewall. I will also take a look for cars fitted with the tyre to see how much the sidewall rounded on full load.
Previously I also heard one fella (cant remember tyre shop worker or who liao) who told me if the tyre surface juncture with sidewall is very sharp L shaped, he said confirm stiff tyre. Personally I feel really hard to see especially when Im using 55 series which is usually a bit rounded.
