QUOTE(Ramjade @ Oct 31 2016, 01:02 PM) Which is why we must support trump. With trump there's potential for US feds not to hike, may cause the USD to weaken (a very good thing or else you see everyrhing in Malaysia continue to increase in price - vege, fruits, etc), US, AP market will be on discount. Remember what goes down must go up. for those with nice fat $ accumulated or >=1/3 of their investment assets in cash/$ market, they will love U if it happensIf he becomes president, I am very sure USD will drop. We might see RM at 3.8x again the rest will hunt U down and give U a columbian necktie for "creating such events", even if U can't really affect the outcome, they will still demonize U thus, beware of what U wish for - it may come true and then U have to deal with it |

QUOTE(dasecret @ Oct 28 2016, 11:25 PM) Question - why cimb GTF and ES global leaders fund both at the same time? My rationale is this. If I am going to put a substantial amount of let's say 10% into global funds, I might as well split it 5% each into GTF and ES Global Leaders. They are supposed to be positively correlated but their YTD for this year have departed. I don't think this amounts to diworsification. I believe Master Yoda Xuzen has the same view. RHB ATR - still got legs to run? Usd:RM is 4.2 today. But I may be biased la, I sold 2/3 jor As for RHB ATR, I am just buying a bit slowly. Not sure how it will perform in the long run. BTW, for all the new funds that I am buying, I am doing DCA maybe for the next 12 months. No stomach for lump sum investment for now. depending on the fund that you bought...local OR foreign related.....
Q: When will I know about the price I get? A: Most of the unit trusts in Malaysia are priced based on "forward pricing". This means that if you transact today, you will get the fund’s value as of the closing price of the market today. However, you will know the price in two working days The price that you could see in the website is the so-called 'indicative price'. This is usually the price of the fund two working days ago. This indicative price is NOT the actual transaction price of the fund that you are buying or selling. Generally, the fund manager requires approximately two business days to consolidate and derive a unit price for the funds. These prices are further valued independently by the fund's trustees. Therefore, the dealing price will be made known to the public two business days after the transaction date. Once we obtained the price, an email notification will be sent to you. https://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/faq/0...ying-Funds-1605 This post has been edited by T231H: Oct 31 2016, 10:09 PM |

QUOTE(wongmunkeong @ Oct 31 2016, 10:38 AM) dasecret kamsia kamsia for the sharing. BTW - how/where U find such nice stuff ar? from our local (now MIA) UTC? just wondering what they provider "gets out of it" - WIIFM (What's In It For Me), coz i don't see any subscription / email request, etc. Glad to see that people here can benefit from it. To me the best feature is they have ALL funds in Malaysia. Morningstar doesn't have the investment linked funds What do they get out of it? That was my first question too. Seem too nice to have a free site to offer such comprehensive data right? We speculate data mining. But who knows |

By the way. I am thinking of motioning the request that Xuzen be given an elite tag for his work in Alozen™ and giving us a foundation in investing via FSM thread which is the fastest growing thread in the Finance Section version 16.
without him some of us may be still be reading up on unit trust for dummies. all in favour? cc pinkspider dasecret T231H puchongite and of course all the band of brothers here. |
