Thanks guys!
That I like... huhu~
Finally, are there any cons to using homebrew? One retailer said that the PsP will be damaged if you use homebrew? Will anything negative happen in the long run?

nope. most homebrew run without replacing any files in flash so it is safe. sometimes some homebrew will crash but it got nothing to do with damaging psp... unless u use homebrew that accessing files in flash. just be careful with homebrew like that, if u not sure just stay away with it.

lol..sony claims that homebrew will ruin the psp-rubbish.
i've used them,99% of the forummers here use them, most psp users in the world use them..and so far no one has reported any faults(that i've heard, anyway) that can be attributed to homebrew apps.

there are some glitches, though with homebrew..
like PMPMod in my psp,(not sure of other people)
if the screenshot plugins are activated,PMPMod wont come on rclxub.gif
the psp will just shut off..
but disable the plugins,it runs smoothly thumbup.gif

IMO,sony just wants to control what you do with the psp.. doh.gif

OK, sifus around here (you know who you are), mind to do a mini-review on the information on the first page and tell me what I should add, remove or modify?

Thanks for your time. biggrin.gif thumbup.gif

DFlo, you can use the questions I posted. I think those serves quite well as a beginner's question!

I just remembered the question I wanted to ask, I'll have around Rm1300. Recommend me any accessories and add-ons? By the way, the package I'm looking at is RM900...

For the record, you guys have been a bunch of help~
A good thread full of great help! thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Hope all brothers here can help. Wanna ask does any brother have difficulties in playing psx game? Recently i try to play ff8 and street fighter ex2 plus on my psp also cannot. The final fantasy 8 will hang at somewhere whereas the street fighter ex2 plus will become colour distorted .

1) Is it something to do with my psp clock speed?

2) If i change the clock speed to 333mhz, will it harm my psp?

3) Anything else i need to install so that i can play psx games without problem?

4) What is the game id of psx game? I fi simply change it will it afffect the game play?

5) Does you guys feel lag when playing EYE ASS OH game?? eg.Prince of persia

I have already google for so long times but cannot get the right answer, i am so confused , hope brother here can clear my doubt. rclxms.gif

If not mistaken, at first PSP's clock is at 333mhz... then Sony decided to underclocked it. So, if it's designed to run at 333mhz, will overclocking it to 333mhz damage it?

All firmwares have a built-in PSX emu starting from 3.0x. You don't need to install anything. But there is some issues with game compatibilities... not all games work.

for your 4th question, no don't change otherwise it won't work.

happens when your "legally backup" game is in compressed format (.cso or .dax)
compressed games also needs more loading time.

What about if the battery is inside and fully charge and the charger (not the usb cable) is plug in...and play it for a long time enough...?
