Try used onvif manager using pc to detect if the ipc is online first, if can be detected just add the ipc with the user/password port 80 under Onvif on XVR.

Once you login it will auto detect all the available Onvif ipc in the same IP segment.

Need camera that can set the exposure time manually or buy more expensive type purposely for LPR. Check if the tapo c425 have manual exposure settings or not?

hi, I am currently renovating my house and plans to lay ethernet cable.

since I am staying in an apartment, I plan to install ONE cctv only (at the main door) in my house.

can anyone suggest a model/brand/camera format/etc. or whatever keyword that I can search to learn more.

I have a NAS, if possible don't want to get a separate NVR/DVR just to cater to this ONE cctv only.

thank you

You need to search for POE (Power-over-Ethernet) cameras if you want to go for a wired solution nowadays. You can connect the camera either to a POE switch or POE injector. Non-POE wired ethernet CCTVs still exist, but since you're laying down ethernet might as well do POE.

If you want to record directly to a NAS, your camera will need to support FTP.

Personally I use and recommend Reolink. They have good documentation on all these stuff and all of their advance features including AI stuff are free with no subscriptions required. I record directly to the onboard microSD as well as to my computer that's basically an NVR server. For my main door I use the RLC-843A which has IK10 vandal protection, 2-way audio and has 5x optical zoom, but you can opt for the cheaper RLC-842A if you don't need 2-way audio. There is an even cheaper RLC-840A/P337 model without the zoom but it's only sold in Singapore and not Malaysia.

Also, only use Endurance microSD. I personally recommend Samsung, although they are expensive they are actually the cheapest in terms of rated lifetime by cost. Because they are insanely long lasting, much much longer than any other competitor on the market.

Need to know the camera Frame Rate (fps) and Bitrate (kbps) only can calculate for u.

Example:
5MP(2560x1920) 15fps 2304kbps H265 x4 = 2TB can record 19days 24hrs

Hi, DS-2CE16K0T-LFS is an Analog 5MP Camera, not 4K, it is 3K camera.

4K is 8MP.

For Analog System, frame rate and bitrate are set by DVR.
If u use HUHI series DVR, then u can have higher Resolution and Frame Rate, compare to HQHI series.

HUHI Can fully support the camera 3K Resolution, 2960×1665
3K @ 12fps 2188kbps H265 x4 = 2TB can record around 21days.

HQHI: Can only support partial resolution of the 3K Camera, HIK call it as 5MP/3K Lite, 1280x1936
Resolution lower even u use same model camera.

Thanks for the detail explanation. So if i have 4 camera, it can record around 5 days only. Is the calculation correct?
I see DVR has many variant although both are HUHI, eg: iDS-7204HUHI-M1/E & iDS-7204HUHI-M1/S. How to choose?

Do you support installation of CCTV at Melaka area?

4x 3K cam 2TB HDD can store around 21days.
7204HUHI-M1E got no Coax Output
7204HUHI-M1S got Coax Output
But nowadays nobody use Coax output anymore. So go with E will do.

or go for iDS-7204HUHI-M1X, this is the latest version, better Ai Perimeter Detection compare to E and S
