Hi guys, morning.
Anyone experienced the engjne/turbo losing power? It feels like the torque "not out" when the engine hit 2000rpm (max torque)

anything that I should check (can diy check?) or beware of? Or any diagnosis can be done to eliminate whether the turbo charger/engine or something has problem?

Any recommendations engine oil? I am using petronas syntium 3000 (5w40), change every 6 months.

Hi there guys, im bout to buy a used SS (2016 and still under warranty) but a bit worried with its reliability. im aware that proton is far away from perfect and need to constantly go to SC since there will always be issues with the car.

It would be awesome if sifu2 from this forum could share some opinion regarding SS cvt, engine, gearbox and also the car reliability.

Second time my suprima in SC due to defect. This time engine over heat warning lamp appear...anyone here having the same experience like me?😢

Yg say tahu wire harness tu ialah wire yg ada connector. So dia ialah benda , bukan ada symptom...

Fan connector cair la tu.. what year suprima? Suprising this issue still comes up in 2017..

Bukan sebab haba.. sebab spark oleh connection yang tak lengkap.. ok dah tu.. kalau tukar harness tu dengan shroud, 3 4 jam boleh siap..

"connection yg x lengkap"...tu maksudnya ada connector yg loose n x dipasang dgn betul? sbb br 3hari lps buat mileage servis n tukar oil cooler hose yg recall tu...tetiba sekarang kuar problem overheat ni plak...😦

Depends on few factors. How much is the mileage? Has the previous owner claimed any sort of warranty? I only had 3 minor problems with it.
1. Door rubber seals flattened due to closing. They replaced it.
2. Reverse sensors. Left than right. Fix at different intervals.
3. Got my free tyre replacement because of defect tyre batch.

My car I think is no 650 from the factory. Quite early unit. General items only 3 years covered. Only transmission and gearbox is 5 years. Window tint is 5 years. From my experience, I think I have one of the solid ones. Mileage now around 37.5k km. If you are interested in the SS, can come and see mine in KB. Thinking of upgrading to a people carrier

Do you happen to have any dashboard creaking while driving? I have yet to solve dashboard creaking, door rattling noise
, harsh engine vibration, power steering bush noise and brake juddering.

So far the claiming process is indeed really a positive experience with Proton.

Need to change engine mounting? Is this common? Changing both I understand since one side is worn, they do the other side as well

Yes, it is common as engine mounting is wear and tear parts for few years once time. You need to change it if your car steering got heavy vibration.
