haha.. true. he can't claim no social media since posted on Facebook.

but still, I'm surprised Samsung Malaysia didn't blast sms... they should issue warning via sms, asking ppl to power down the phone..

Agree with ur point. If they can push force update to the phone...they push a notification to our phone as well..

The shop or even SME did not even call me once about the second recall. But just have to live with it. I really hope my ordered iP7+ come tomorrow and switch off my Note7 permanently.
Have to say goodbye to my Note7.
P.S.: I have to continue using the Note7 because don't have any spare phone. So have to buy an extra spare phone for backup in the future. Any suggestion from anyone? Is Xiaomi phone good enough?

U guys think it is easy to blast an sms to each n everyone whois currently using n7?

firstly sammy doesn't owned any telco in Malaysia.

2ndly, yes they have the phone numbers...but not all of them were the active note7 users. Some preordered n sell it off bla..bla..bla..

About the software update to block note7 usage, i think it is not possible coz it was us/user who owned the phone. They just cant do that, at least for now, until they provide us a solution.

The user who claimed dont know anything about the news, is totally bs. Even in everyday coffee talk my friends whois not a n7 user telling me about n7 fiasco.

Dia xde kawan eh?lol

just went to Sunway Carnival mall to return my note 7.
ask me the snap the filled form.
pass me a resit.
give me bank resit to fill bank account and name.
i pass him a photocopy of my E-bank (with name and account number) just for security purpose.

I'm the 5th customer actually, base on number 5 sticker they stick on my box.
Luckily can do 1 day early, weekday super busy on work. haha.

First case in Malaysia...
Wonder how SME will react

SME still can be held liable because the exchange/refund only starts 17/10/2016.

nothing wrong with blasting sms. it's not that expensive compared to this whole fiasco.

plus, it's in line with putting customer safety first.

they are calling ppl anyway. so, regardless of whether phone number is updated or whether is present owner or not, at least they try..

sms can say sth like please power down phone and use another phone. customer service will contact you soon to explain.

I hope this time, Samsung will handle telco's set too. Telco always problematic in handling this kind of issue.

+1 on this issue... Telco seems very slow in their action. Waiting for SME instruction.. Until today, no sms or call from my telco (Maxis) regarding the Note 7... vmad.gif vmad.gif vmad.gif

a few days back, I mentioned a scenario.. driving 100kmh on highway and Note7 catches fire.

someone said sth about highly improbable or sth?

I guess as long as not happening to self, one will think one is lucky and invincible...
