I am thinking of a camera phone. Between Sony ZX (more megapixel) and Huawei P9 (Leica co-engineered)...

Own a Leica camera before, damn nice the white balance and black & white. Feels like every shot with enough lighting is great.

My guess about what Samsung going to do with the Note series:

Samsung is thinking about discontinuing the Note series for a long time and Note 7 gave rise the opportunity to do so. They will discontinue Note series, and focus on S series as flagship. It is very costly to own two flagship models (technically three flagship designs, S7 w/o Edge, S7 Edge, Note 7), and the difference between S series and Note is the SPen and one or two features more. In fact, S series outsells Note series 3:1. Yet, Note gets the best features that are not available to S series, e.g. iris scanner. It does not do justice to the larger market share S Series owners. If Note series is discontinued earlier, S series would get iris scanner in the S7 already. Just that previously, Samsung do not have good reasons to kill Note and anger loyal Note brand users.

Samsung next move probably will be S8 Edge and S8+ w/ SPen. Face it, edge screen does not go well with SPen.

So possible timeline launch for S8 Edge will be February, then S8+ w/ SPen before Apple 10th anniversary iPhone 8 launch.

Swap to S7edge is not a good deal. SME is trying to mess with us. A month back SME have this promotion - RM300 off with purchase of S7 or S7edge. Now with Note7 exchange to S7edge also refund RM300. Here is the calculation:

1. S7edge RRP : RM3099 - RM300 = RM2799
2. S7edge 1st preorder : RM3099 - 20% = RM2479
3. S7edge 2nd preorder : RM3099 - 10% = RM2789
4. S7edge online : RM2649 (lazada), RM2399 (11 Street),  RM2414 (Gemfive "TREATS12" voucher RM2639 - RM225)
5. Note 7 swap S7edge : RM2879(preorder price) - RM300 = RM2579

Also, given that S7 edge is around the market for quite some time, new S8 will launch on March 2017, it is not a good time to get S7edge now at RRP, as most of the S7edge sold in Malaysia are sold in preorder price, promotion discount, online voucher rebate, and most importantly NOT at its own RRP. SME trying to fool Note7 users here
*
SME treat us as a fool all along. I was considering exchange to S7e but after the latest Malaysian kaboom case and this calculation, I think better refund and buy cheaper interim phone. Wait S8 (no more preorder for me).

Called Courts CS this morning and asked whether I can walk in to Courts Wisma Thrifty to handover for the refund, the CS said yes, just bring along the phone and box.
Spent 40 minutes to get to Courts Wisma Thrifty, only to be informed by the staff there to go to Courts HQ in Setapak, as the HQ is the only place that can process items purchased from their online store. They showed me a memo received from HQ.

They refund by cheque? Or wait until next year only refund?
