Previously during 1st recall, many choose to stay positive and enjoyed the second time unboxing a new Note 7.
For daredevils this time round, if the news of deadline to return is indeed end of the year, you can actually use another 3 months (at your own risk), enjoy the exclusive phone which only 8k sold in Malaysia, and still get a full refund after using 3 months. Not too bad huh.... |

QUOTE(acct @ Oct 14 2016, 03:14 PM) hahaha.... fruit stuffs are all overpriced with questionable specifications, 2 pros that I can think of is only the smoothness of OS and the processor power with its efficiency... others... erm... questionable. S7 have superior camera, display, fingerprint scanning speed, screen responsiveness and more.Only good thing about iPhone is the performance and optimization of OS (I doubt processor plays a bit part here, don't think A10 Fusion is any faster if it is running Android), also the 3d touch which never once I've seen anyone using it. Despite all of that, I'm still getting an iPhone 7 just because of the speed since I mostly play games on it, and the NVMe storage just makes everything load ridiculously fast... Until Android finally changed to the rumored Andromeda OS, future Snapdragon or Exynos chipset finally focuses more on Single-Core performance, Samsung using their SSD technology on smaller NVMe for smartphones... I will change to Android by then. |

My guess about what Samsung going to do with the Note series:
Samsung is thinking about discontinuing the Note series for a long time and Note 7 gave rise the opportunity to do so. They will discontinue Note series, and focus on S series as flagship. It is very costly to own two flagship models (technically three flagship designs, S7 w/o Edge, S7 Edge, Note 7), and the difference between S series and Note is the SPen and one or two features more. In fact, S series outsells Note series 3:1. Yet, Note gets the best features that are not available to S series, e.g. iris scanner. It does not do justice to the larger market share S Series owners. If Note series is discontinued earlier, S series would get iris scanner in the S7 already. Just that previously, Samsung do not have good reasons to kill Note and anger loyal Note brand users. Samsung next move probably will be S8 Edge and S8+ w/ SPen. Face it, edge screen does not go well with SPen. So possible timeline launch for S8 Edge will be February, then S8+ w/ SPen before Apple 10th anniversary iPhone 8 launch. |

I've been wondering, how to access my Samsung Notes other than through the phone? Is there a desktop app or website to login?
It's not like Google Keep, where I can login through its website. I use the screen off memo quite a lot, without Note7, it's gonna be quite hard to move on |

Received an email from MV Samsung for the exchange / refund but it doesn't say any due date nor does it mention 31 December 2016 on the email itself.

QUOTE(lllllx3 @ Oct 14 2016, 03:27 PM) im thinking note 8 izit will be the same outlook wif note 7 jus solve the explode issue? Don't think so. In the coming 1 year, technology will be updated. Maybe no longer use S-pen to write. Just eyeballs roll up and down, left and right, will be equivalent to writing on the screen. because the technology of N7 is most advance d... they jus use 1 year to test n check on the problem..haha |

I'm writing a lengthy mail to convey my dissatisfaction to the mail someone shared before (so called direct to the CEO office). I'm thinking it would be a good idea, to have everyone who agrees to it, to cc all of you in the e-mail, together with all our IMEI (to prove that we're genuine owner) and even cc some press or whatever you all can suggest. It might not change anything now, but you never know, who knows we get something from the next launch. You can privately PM me if interested.
For those not interested, no need kepoh here and there la, no need flame me, after all, if there's 1% chance we get something, and if we did get something, everyone benefit from it. You no need to do extra work. |
