It seems only for M2Cards Plat and M2Cards Gold are considered as Maybank basic cards now as indicated in their page.

Luckily I didn't cancel my M2Cards Plat yet.

Edit: Announcement mentioned Gold as well but the page has no revised T&C link like Plat page. hmm.gif

well. i had zero spending for the last 6 or so months.

The website says 1 March but the memo says 15th

since spending is based on calendar month previously, i don't understand why it should start from the 15th

in this case, honestly do you think there is any harm starting early? (i know it's the 20 day notice rule thing...)

since this is not to the customers' disadvantage, i personally feel they should start on the 1st

to me the rule is to protect the customer, in this case, i dont see how starting early will not benefit the user

furthermore, this is not first come first served basis anymore rclxms.gif

Good good, applies to all. rclxms.gif

However, I don't think it will be that straightforward like previously. Let's see. Maybank, please prove me wrong. laugh.gif

they are abiding the rules.

Last time I reported to BNM when they didn't follow the 20 days rule, so fair enough now they abide by it.

I think it is bad news for some people as there is cap for 5X trat point for petrol transaction.
also never mentioned 5% weekend cash back for what type of transaction.
may be still remain for dining and they apply cap for each transaction. example, max RM5 cash back for each dining transaction. This is just simply give example

Effective 15th March 2017, all Maybank 2 American Express® Gold and Platinum Cardmembers will be entitled to these new benefits:
 5% Weekend Cashback capped at RM50 per Cardmember per calendar month
 5X TreatsPoints for Petrol Transactions capped at RM300 per transaction; above RM300, 1X TreatsPoint for every RM1 spend
Effective
