I heard that there are many fraud cases with Amex card for online transactions, thats why they disable it by default.

QUOTE(vin_ann @ Oct 14 2016, 12:14 PM) can non Samsung phone uses this Samsung Pay app??? is this similar to MaybankPay ??? Edit: answer found: Widely accepted on NFC (Near Field Communication/Contactless) or Non-NFC terminals *Samsung Pay is compatible only with Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy A7(2016) and Galaxy A5(2016) models. QUOTE(limeuu @ Oct 14 2016, 01:13 PM) Not sure if a payment platform based on phone model will work.... The Samsung Pay can use the magnetic transmission similar to the magnetic strip in the credit card. If the terminal support magnetic swipe, theoretically it should support Samsung Pay.

QUOTE(limeuu @ Oct 14 2016, 01:50 PM) Magnetic?....we have migrated away from magnetic strip to chip a long time ago...only the great us of a still use magnetic strip information storage.... It's based on nfc... which is a non proprietary standard....but the system is based on phone signature, hence limited phone models that will work.... It can be open, not restricting phone model/made, as long as nfc enabled.... just like keyless entry in some hotels nowadays....use your phone as key to open your hotel door.... Yes, I think most cards in Malaysia are chip based. But I think some terminal might still support magnetic swipe. Countries like USA still mainly use magnetic swipe. (Unbelievable, right?) So, some shops might still use them so that they can support foreign customer. Since Samsung Pay is a proprietary payment format, I guess that they can limit to whatever model they want (and maybe hardware dependent). Android Pay should support more devices (as long as the device is using Android 4.4 and support NFC) This post has been edited by HMMaster: Oct 14 2016, 02:15 PM

If I'm not mistaken, some oversea online merchant won't send any OTP (e.g. Humblebundle)

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 4 2016, 11:51 AM) Yes, PPL KL at Brickfields. Thank you. I guess Pos Laju got too many cards to deliver... so they just put it in the collection center and ask the customer to collect it themselves.

QUOTE(red_scorpion @ Feb 15 2017, 10:53 AM) m2u campaign cb for august, i get rm50 too..but i checked i didn't spend more than 500 on Aug16 weekend also...really dont know how it calculated..maybe for the whole campaign(july to dec), 1 person only entitle to win once? this m2u Aug16 doesnt meant you got the cash back for month august16, but it meant that you have won something in this campaign. The minimum RM500 spending can be any day... as long as you spend RM500 per month, then your weekend spending will be eligible for the cashback.

QUOTE(#Victor @ Mar 18 2017, 12:44 AM) Any difference paying using myTNB payment gateway and Maybank2U bill payment? Still prefer using Maybank2U because the page load faster compare to myTNB and also I've added it as favourite billers Not sure about M2U, but if you pay via MyTNB, it will be reflected immediately on your online bill.
