E-J@1: if you mean front audio/USB/1393 ports, i think 2.5" so only can install card reader or fan controller. if 5.25" then install VFD panel lor

Since u guys r talking about the TJ06. Here's a looooooooooovely TJ06 mod. My favorite TJ06 mod in fact. Check out what he did for his wire management. Solid copper rails for the 12, 3.3, 5 n 0V lines! It's absolutely Fergulicious.

That definitely looks way safer and I guess that will be the new concept in terms of case designs. I wonder when those chinamen case makers will come up with a cheaper copy/version of that idea. It is a confirm boon for case modders and overclockers as it reduces cable mess.

It looks safer, but I have to say, the [H]ardForum dude's acrylic + copper version looks cooler.

QUOTE(Mavik @ Feb 5 2007, 06:39 PM) Dude, as an electronic engineer, having power rails like that is just an accident waiting to happen mate LOL Not too sure if the rails will shock you, but the modder himself said that he did not get shock when he was touching the rails even when the power was switched on. There's no (or less, I forgot Unless you sleeve those copper rails. Impressive mod I should say. I like it too Btw, is the heat dissipation of SECC same as aluminum? |

Not really, as the casing does not come in contact with the computer components. A casing's heat dissipation is purely dependent on the airflow of the casing. Correct me if i am wrong. Guys,
what about the color, coz I remember last time in physics class, it says black is quick in heat release and also heat absorption while silver resists the high better while release heat less quick too. How true does this applies to the casing colors ? Edit: Or was that in thermodynamics or chemistry class ? This post has been edited by jy14: Feb 8 2007, 12:42 PM |

NO... not even 1-2C (which is margin of error anyways) |

It's basically the Silverstone LC-18 casing but with a window for the Raptor X HD replacing the 7" LCD touchscreen monitor. Saw this a couple months back somewhere online.
This casing should be able to hold 6 HDs (5 for the LC-18, the extra HD would be the one in the window). 2x80mm intake fans just under the HD cage (look carefully in the picture and you can see it) and 2x 80mm exhaust fans. Quite interesting, but I prefer the monitor for my HTPC rig. Just ordered the LC-18 a couple days ago. |

Actually LC17 & LC18 are the same chassis, but LC18 comes with pre-modded LCD,
But CW01-WD is actually from CW01, different model that look similar to LC17 |

From left to right:
1. SG-01: NT-06 Lite heatsink installed on CPU. Note that NT-06 = NT-06 Lite plus 120mm fan. I actually bought the NT-06 and took the fan off for this installation. 2. SG-01: NT-06 Lite + ST60F PSU is perfect fit in SG-01. The 120mm intake fan for the PSU lines up almost perfectly for the NT-06, so it draws air into PSU through the heatsink, resulting in a fanless situation. Also if you install the NT-06 Lite inside the SG-01, you will not have space for the FX-121 cross flow fan. 3. SG-01: All the parts installed (minus VFD stuff), and minor cable routing work. Will do more extensive cable routing when I install the VFD. 4. LC-18: That LCD is sweet! This post has been edited by Traveler: Mar 19 2007, 10:21 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(jy14 @ Mar 27 2007, 02:46 AM) Not only quality, most importantly is, it's made on an Alu plate, fits any Silverstone cases and gives other cases the extra 'bling'. FYI You can get FP33 for replacement of controller because it has 3 + 3 controlling front and back, no need la put so many floppy bay |

QUOTE(jy14 @ Mar 22 2007, 11:19 AM) Traveller, change the direction of the NT06 to point at the RAM side, then u can fit the FX121. I've done it oledi yesterday. I'll upload some pics later. This was my original installation, but I noticed that doing it this way would not center the PSU fan over the NT-06. Have been running it without the FX121, and the NT-06 is barely warm (as opposed to the stock heatsink which was noticeably warm). Did you notice any change in temps or noise?![]() ![]() I'm going to leave mine as is and run it without the FX121, as the PC is going into my bedroom as a media PC, so I like it as quiet as possible (PSU fan, 3x silent fans, 1x Seagate 7200.10 HD; are the main noise generators). Will probably add some sound absorbing material when I get some in next month. |

NICE. I really like the way it looks now. Much much better than the TJ09's front which looked too simple. Now they've gone back to the old skool look. Very nice but I was expecting an all new model rather than a facelift. |

halo guys, Jus got myself a silverstone Tj-07...But still lazy to put all the hardwares inside the case... oh yeah, It's a Black color with a side window panel... I personally Do not like much how The side panel looks like.... The way the acrylric panel is attached is not that nice.... We can see the screws from outside.... I like more when it perfectly Fits the cut and the screws cant be seen from outside.... But of course and the Only one, this case is Very amazing... it's not a waste buying this case... Bravo tj-07

hi ive got a problem with my FM122 fan. Lately its been spinning at around 2000rpm and the noise is driving me crazy. The fan is manually controlled by the controller and not by motherboard. sometimes it does spin below the range but just for a brief moment then it spins back up to around 2000rpm again.
any idea what's going on? This post has been edited by mercindustries: Jun 29 2007, 10:32 AM |

Anyway ianho, wondering do you feel its possible for a mod in order to allow the casing to fit ATX mobo? |

LOL..Beautiful casing there but my eyes are set only on the SG03. Might be getting it and setting up a brand new PC later when my budget is here..Poisoned kaw kaw by the casing..LOL..
Anyway, one question here. From the pictures i have seen of the SG03, its not needed to open the door in order to access the ROM drive right?Cause i saw an exposed 5.25" bay at the front door there. Anyway, if my assumption is right, does LL ROM bezel work on the SG03 cause i do not want the ROM to ruin the beauty of the casing... |

Damn, nice casing indeed. Anyway, i really do not like the ROM to be in that way. I still prefer if there is a bezel which makes me wonder whether LL fit or not..

Just bought a new toy, Silverstone Temjin 08
Really like it a lot because of the size. The front panel is beautiful. However, the paint job of the other steel panels is quite bad. Need to do some modding to make it looks superb. Anyway, here are some pics to share with. ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by hypermax: Jul 16 2007, 04:11 PM |

QUOTE(blackshirt @ Jul 20 2007, 08:00 AM) A can of gloss paint only RM7 at hardware shop, then paint work on your case is 3 times paint job, you think its cheapo paint? Hello fellow SS owners
just bought my TJ09 on monday from moderno, hoping to get TJ07 but no stock, so grab the TJ09 instead. so now i'm off to install my first WC loop (sponsored by MTZ...on the shipping fee being a first timer or so popularly-known-as n00b if yes, please raise your hand and let me know. i would like to PM/MSN/Yahoo! you for the advice. so far, i like the build and the quality of the casing. but on wire management friendliness it's a i wish i could get the old version of tj09 - the one without the side panel so i can mod it to my liking but what to do...begar cannot be choser! so, anyone with tj09 and have their WC loop installed with 2x120mm rad inside, pls help out. thanks This post has been edited by remysix: Aug 29 2007, 04:19 PM |

actually, i've already read those forum especially the hardforum...long listing of posts...wanna ask if there is any LYN member did the same thing...anyway, yesterday i went to the myDIY and get myself 4 pcs of L-bracket and to my surprise, it was like those L-bracket made for holding the rad to the TJ09...i meant the length, the place of the hole...in no time i was able to mount the 2x120mm rad inside, at the top. the slided my mobo tray in...eeeeek! another problem, the damn mobo heatsink at the far right (top) got blocked by the rad...seems like i need to cut the L-bracket a bit to let the mobo (heatsink) pass...the L-bracket is made of alloy i think...tried to drill the hole on it...cannot be done, too hard for the drill or maybe i'm not skill enuff. gonna try it again once got home.

QUOTE(bryanyeo87 @ Aug 30 2007, 10:35 PM) ur drill cant penetrate eh? probably it's due to the drill...mine is 'Skill' brand...the saleperson said that the one that i bought is 550W and the B&D is 450W, so being a total n00b in this kind of stuff, i took the 550W and it came with all the tools whereas for the B&D only the drill alone, no tools - promotion price, so nothing extra.use a better quality drill bit, dont use chapalang wan, solved my prob when i switched to the B&D ori drill bit anyway, i still have no idea what to do next since the only way for me to install the pump, i need the holes...every TJ09 with WC owner put their pump at the bottom side which is the only logical place to put it. QUOTE(intothefantasy @ Sep 10 2007, 01:56 AM) does this mean DA is the best among them? since it has performance and cable management...btw tj10 when come? estimated price??it seems like better then tj07 but the design interior looks simple tho..... bleh.... i find modular PSUs even more messy than normal PSUs.cable management depends on the user mostly. not the PSU. the case design also does help with cable management. |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Sep 10 2007, 03:11 AM) modular PSU are great for cable management (purpose of hiding those excessive & unused cables) if u only use couple wires of em...if all wire use on modular psu, then it's fugly, all wires coming out from everywhere, cable management doesn't come any easier compared to a non-modular psu QUOTE(mADmAN @ Sep 10 2007, 03:11 AM) it does depend on the psu - hiding the excessive & unused cables, modular psu really nice, neat & easy compared to those non-modular psu (again depends on how many wires u planning to use) ...other area (around the mobo) managing cable is the same regardless what type of psu u use... QUOTE(mADmAN @ Sep 10 2007, 03:11 AM) agree |
