That is why you need to be discreet as possible when installing your monitor. Putting the monitor on the dashboard will surely inviting unwanted guest .. but if it in-dash, the thief wouldn't know if it is just a blank plastic or a car pc monitor.

dont do so fancy on the dash... just do like OEM like what i did...

i dont think there is such a scanner, what are you going to scan? you cant scan through a metal with those handheld scanner, you need higher power..

i myself dont think that kin of gadget exist...

but in tv, its either '999' or other program have showed that, it exist can easily get in jalan pasar.

teorically, i think that gadget scan for idle wifi signal that pc have...there is idle wifi signal, that let us wireless turn on... or LAN Power On

I have been using carpc off and on... This Car PC in my waja about 2 years edi

I might not sell my car.. but if i do, i will removed all my car pc.
i have invested too much in my car pc and audio system... spend more than 20k edi

I've no idea how true is the scanner thing, but my CPU unit is turned off whenever I off the car, it isn't going on standby, it goes to hibernate and turn off itself after 30 seconds.

last time wat i hear is d so called "scanner" can detect ur PC or laptop even they r turned off..
