depending on your budget really .. i don't have any experience on industrial tft, but the eby701 is pretty hopeless when surrounding it is too bright .. you can't really see the screen..

thats why im asking the question, if first time u buy eby701 at low price..500-600. but end up buying the industrial grade touch screen at rm800.
better buy industrial grade right away...

If you need the industrial gred, then i have to get to the sales personnel on Farnell or RSelectronics you can buy it online but it will cost you a bomb.

Liliput wont work well on bright sun and the touchscreen sucks! Xenarc wont works well on hot days coz i have bought one too!
If you really want one i will have to call em up to check the availability of the stock. They normally will send to my office as im going to use my office account to get low rates.

ic, for the time being i got the offer for Liliput 619GL RM700.
if u think the industrial grade is better...

It is up to you! So far my industrial gred monitor resolution can go up more than 1680x1280 where liliput can only go 1024x768

That is considered cheap compare if u buy alone for RM1550.

This one got 1 wire for reverse gear input so u can put a Camera into the Video in.. it will auto switch when u reverse, secondly it also had last power state memory so u dun need to power on the monitor everytime u start the car. The touchscreen only need to calibrate once then n o need edi... it wont lari when hot or cold like liliput!

Hehe.. go for it man .. If I haven't bought mine, I probably will go for this LCD .. I guess this one is either Toshiba or NEC panel. My lilliput seems to be by Sharp but the touchscreen panel, have no idea .. probably generic China made one.

Oh BTW, lilliput could be mod to do the reverse camera input, only few soldering needs to be done and on the power, it is auto on/off depending on the PC signal it receives. the auto on/off is user configurable through setup menu.

Has anyone heard of 1 din PCs?

yeah 1 din PC is quite common... but the performance is limited... VIA1Ghz.... i still prefer PC with Casing where i can plug any sound card that i like!

Added on June 7, 2010, 6:38 pmI think it's a NEC coz the touchscreen is NEC Japan.... so far so good... My fren use it for more than 2yrs without any problem.. I also use for more than a year edi.. My PC also very stable!!! no hang before... oppsss touch wood hahahaha
