1) strictly no waiver
2) strictly no rebate, with or without spend condition
3) probably allowed for treatspoints redemption <-- call cs to find out if TP redemption allowed for FCB VS (as this card doesnt have TP feature) --- few years back, last i remembered, cannot use TP for redemption at all.

Tried last month, 5 cards(M2Amex, M2P, Ikhwan cards) allowed for TP redemption except FCB.

As per the latest cash back terms and conditions of Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Signature, telecommunication services are deemed as utilities with MCC 4900.

If I am not mistaken, the MCC of telecommunication services is not 4900.

Is the inclusion of telecommunication services a some sort of mistake in terms and conditions?

You should spend between March 27, 2023 to March 26, 2024.
The expiry month embossed is the correct one and Maybank’s cutoff for AF is always the previous month’s 26th. 27th is considered a new month.

From Dec 2022 to March 26, 2023 was considered as free months for you to earn cash back but spending during this period won’t be taken into spending requirement calculation.

However, if you can confirm that you spent 30k between March 27, 2023 to July 2023, then you can get waiver.

Now I know how the anniversary works. I spent upon receiving my card. Do not know the anniversary. Since Maybank reject my annuals fee waiver, then I just cancel the cards.

For FC Barcelona VS, doesn't matter it is PIN Entry, Contactless (Paywave), Direct Debit or Online, you will get 1% CB except Government related transactions, Charity, E-wallet, Utilities.

For Generic Visa Signature, 5% cashback on Petrol and Groceries only, not limited to online.

It applies to all MBB cards that have AF. I checked with them before M2P.
Yeah, if didn't spend after AF is charged, they will allow cancellation.

They do not have information about the definition of “spending period”. After I gotten the card and spent it as my main card. But then, not eligible as they use the anniversary for spending period. Wasted my time and effort. My account closed now, but outstanding haven’t clear.

yes, posting date determines the quota month, which is April's quota

yes, cb earned in April will be posted on 1 May, viewable in M2U on 2 May.
