Hi guys, if i wanna use apple pay at oversea, do i need to call bank to activate anything?

Managed to add HSBC Platinum Visa card into Apple Pay.

performed at least 5 transactions with a minimum spend of RM50 per transaction using their Apple Pay will be eligible to receive a cashback worth of RM30. The total allocation of Cashback is limited to 4,000 units only

Citibank is sold to UOB Malaysia, they literally left many markets including Malaysia as part of their consolidation plan. Just better off hoping that UOB supports Apple Pay instead, they don't even support Samsung Pay which has been in Malaysia since 2016. All they have is through their own UOB Mighty app and the NFC payment only works on Android

Conclusion: touch n go is shit and monopoly. wondering why government didn’t say anything

So far is it safe to use Apple Pay? In term on security strength. Nowadays too many fraud/cons cases, bit scare on too convenient payment method.

Wise Malaysia card able to use already?

This product just got announced today. It has nothing to do with Apple Pay / Google Wallet.

The product turns out to be a virtual card product with privacy & security as a selling point, similar to what BigPay has offered.

Guys, by any chance anyone knows when Wise would enable Apple Pay for Malaysian issued cards?

Would be really convenient to use on foreign public transport like in Singapore and the UK when travelling.

May I ask if the credit card expired and gotten renew with new credit card with new expiry date, will apple pay update the card accordingly? Kindly share your experience.  TQ.

pretty disappointing when the only addition after launch was only Amex and HSBC, and only CIMB committed to launching in 2H23

Since UOB have completed the takeover of Citi in Malaysia, they should apply for Apple Pay next.
