try to add Maybank credit card to iPhone's Apple Pay but why now need MAE app to verify? Problem is my MAE is on my iPad and no verification message appears on the app.

Why MAE app needs to be on the same device as ApplePay? Anyway to get around this?

I saw Malaysia also in the list, perhaps it depends on whether tngo x tngo ewallet willing to integrate this feature into tngo ewallet
*
TNG most likely no. US sanction & trade war. Besides, TNG dont need apple pay/google pay to grow

I don't see a possibility of QR with this, cause as of 2 weeks ago when I last take public transport, there's nothing changed to accommodate camera at all the stations.
Mobile payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay) a bit skeptical, except if they silently and discreetly updated their system in the tap in tap out terminal.
Some said this is the TnG eWallet provisioning via the NFC-capable TnG card.

nope. quite hard and apple pay support in malaysia for majority bank and others quite slow

They will loss customer soon if they dont waive the AF.
*
They wont as they got large base customer from citibank previously. time to chop off those who seldom use the card. Besides, uob annual fees is always there. If want to waive annual fees, now got proper guidelines to spend and use the card for annual fees waiver. If never hit the spending, then the card is not suitable for you. Therefore advise to cancel the card.

In outside market, got plenty of bank offer cc and it is norm for people to come and go.

QUOTE(kakalaku @ Aug 26 2025, 12:48 PM)
the bigger crime of UOB on this is that - their Singapore cards are already available on Apple/Google Pay, so they don't really have an excuse other than being lazy or taking the MY market for granted
*
1st - SG and MY is different. Regulation and benefit on card also diff. so cannot compare apple to apple.

A lot of consideration to think when want to support apple pay/google pay. the question is who pay the fees? Bank must always stay profitable and avoid unnecessary expenses

This Hong Leong is really dragging the launch out. Been months that you can almost—but not quite—active Apple Pay, but still not there yet  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

They recently updated their Cardholder Agreement to specifically include Apple Pay, and it takes effect from 16 December.

So my guess is it will definitely happen before the end of 2025?
