They wont as they got large base customer from citibank previously. time to chop off those who seldom use the card. Besides, uob annual fees is always there. If want to waive annual fees, now got proper guidelines to spend and use the card for annual fees waiver. If never hit the spending, then the card is not suitable for you. Therefore advise to cancel the card.
In outside market, got plenty of bank offer cc and it is norm for people to come and go.

1st - SG and MY is different. Regulation and benefit on card also diff. so cannot compare apple to apple.
A lot of consideration to think when want to support apple pay/google pay. the question is who pay the fees? Bank must always stay profitable and avoid unnecessary expenses
