I'm on a touch ID iPhone. For me, it's the home button. I guess it's double-click on the side button for Face ID iPhones.

PoisonSoul if can use in normal credit card terminal, you can write a thorough guide applying Wise card biggrin.gif
seems easier way... to use Apple Pay in Malaysia
*
Here? But I was lost on step 1 and 2 as per I said. Maybe I did put a fake SG address at that time.
QUOTE(PoisonSoul @ Jun 28 2021, 08:20 PM)
Tbh, I can't remember the steps how I apply it because I did it in 2 separate times. Let me list it down.

1) Open an account and directly set SG as your default country. You can use the app or the website. Doesn't matter.
This is where I stopped last time. So I COULD be wrong that I set up as SG last time. You can change it in your account anytime later anyways.

2) After opening the account, apply for the Wise card via Account tab. If you have verified yourself before, your account is locked to that country already. So go open another account.
*If you do not see any card in the Account tab, tap on your picture -> Edit your details -> Change to SG. Address just put Malaysian address. Only the country set to SG.*

3) It will ask you to verify yourself with gov documents. I just yolo and sent them picture of me and my IC. Yeap, you read that right, I opened an SG account and verified myself with my Malaysian IC.
4) After approval, you will need to pay 10 SGD for the card and delivery. I just pay lo. 10SGD is cheaper than getting the N26 all the way from EU via TipTrans.  biggrin.gif
5) Once you pay for it, you can add the card into Apple Pay already. Don't need wait for physical card.

Do note that the payment of 10SGD could be BEFORE the verification. I can't remember as I was just rushing through it.

So yeah, I'm currently waiting for the card to arrive. Applied on the 16 June if you are wondering. App promised 18 June to arrive (probably the app think's it's an SG address) but I haven't get mine till date.

What is that mean bro?
*
It means that if you use either bank's credit card to charge TransferWise/Wise, banks will label it as Cash Advance which will incur a 5% interest on your balance every day.

Day 1: RM100 charge by TransferWise, bank add 5%. Total you owe the bank today RM105.
Day 2: RM105 x 105% = RM110.25
Day 3: RM110.25 x 105% = RM115.76
Day 4: RM115.76 x 105% = RM121.55

Idk man. Maybe my acc was an old acc and I found a loophole. Maybe try to input a fake SG residential address upon sign up. Then when u created account d, apply for card first, then only when they ask where to ship to, u type ur MY add.

What bank name should I put to transfer from BigPay?
*
you use the normal debit card option. No transfer option while we are overseas. Correct me if I'm wrong.

*you can always ask TransferWise/Wise CS directly about what to input @ bank for BigPay. They do have BigPay in SG as well.

Apple Pay is going to be launch in Malaysia soon, likely by the end of this year. This is an insider news from someone working in the Bank industry.
*
Which bank? Tiger? Abit more specific pls. Last year got a similar post as this in this thread (in the spoiler) and at last, no news about it.

How lah? no normal debit card option also 😅.
Btw on the website the state put as DBS bank. I’ll try other time now I just top up using credit card lor.
*
Go to Wise and then choose Debit Card option. Not thru BigPay app. Use ur BigPay 16 digits and expiry and CVV.
As for the DBS Bank trick, still, try to contact CS for further clarification and explicitly mention BigPay MALAYSIA otherwise, they might assume BigPay SG.
Topap with CC?! shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif u will be charged an extra 5% on top of the xchange rate given by the bank.

Oh you have similar issue too?
*
No. I believe no one here has a problem reloading with BigPay to TransferWise. So no one here knows why, and it's best to ask BP CS why is your card not accepted. If BP CS says no issue, wait Monday and ask TransferWise's CS via their app.

It is directive from BNM, all banks can participate given they agree to their terms. I cannot disclose more than that.
*
Interesting that BNM is the one taking the lead this time. Okay, I guess we will be seeing Tiger, Sotong, peebee, and overseas ones like HSBC, Citi, OCBC all sorts taking up this deal.

One more, can you disclose if it’s also directive from BNM to pick up Google Pay as well? Would look good to have 2 of this big ones in this playground.
