So far, SPay can't top up by Apple Pay, but they're looking forward to adding that

Can't say for Petron, however I have tried at Shell using Maybank Debit Visa. To my surprise, the RM200 pre-auth was instantly refunded upon filling up, and the actual amount was charged right away. Interestingly though, the transaction in M2U shows up as "Sale Debit" in All Transactions, but not in the Debit Card history (which shows other AP transactions in detail, such as merchant name).

Never encounter any Petron pump with contactless though. I wish they do.

2. HTM Pharmacy (Ipoh Garden)  - AP FAIL 
3. AEON Supermarket Self Service Checkout  - AP FAIL

Same situation happen in AEON grocery section at self checkout terminal in AEON AU2. Cannot use Apple Pay.
Even we tried 2x also the terminal came back error.

The staff there said, they having issues with Apple Pay against their system, and this probably need some time to be rectify.
Then I have to wave my card instead.

Anyone tried their Malaysian cards in oversea before with Apple Pay? Does it work?

I am in Japan now and I tried my Maybank card in many places and only one place (convenience store called Lawson) worked. I put my Apple Watch infront of POS system for like 4-5 seconds and there was no response for my Maybank Card. I tried in 2 Lawsons and only 1 worked with my Maybank card

But when I use my Japanese card and there is no issue and transaction went through within second.

Yea. I have no problem using my tiger card in here, even withdrawing cash from ATM overseas.

Just that with Apply Pay, so far only 1 worked so far with my tiger card.

AP is just a means to use your card. if SenQ or Harvey offers if, you can.
if your bank offers it, just call the bank and convert the transaction into installments.

For installment using card terminal, can't do it through paywave/ApplePay. Only paying in full is possible. Unless you use paywave/ApplePay and convert it to installment by calling bank - this might incur additional interest charge though.
