Just curious, are there any ways (e.g. petition) to push for those banks who already support AP in other markets (OCBC, UOB, HSBC & Citi) to expedite the roll out in Msia?

Can confirm here that Mastercards saved in Apple Pay don't seem to work on the orange Sunmi terminal by Hong Leong Bank at 99 Speedmarts. My Maybank Grab Mastercard didn't work but my Maybank 2 Visa worked

I suspect Sunmi terminal NFC is too sensitive and it will scan halfway then failed if nearby.

So, don’t activate your Apple Pay (double click power button) near the terminal, you activate it away from terminal 30cm then tap on it.

Went to JayaGrocer at Eco Grandeur Puncak Alam. During checkout i mentioned Paywave, once i took out my phone cashier immediately said Sorry Apple Pay not supported. Despite i saw the card terminal is issued by Maybank. Have anyone experience this, kinda weird. CMIIW all paywave terminal shoud be able to accept ApplePay right?

Sales from AP could be lower.

AFAIK, the "standard" MDR Apple is charging (to banks I think) is 0.15%.

Lol. What's with our merchants ah? Prior to AP launch, if anyone from overseas come and spend using Apple Pay, ok je. no issue. apa2 also nevermind.

Can anyone from up there or at least, boss of a store tell us why? I believe you have no right to say "no AP here" when AP is literally just the same as using CC. If you have the right, then, I'll take my business elsewhere.

Especially if their terminal is MBB, I would call out their manager and ask them to read the said line by MBB themselves.

another interesting observation: I removed all my Maybank Visa cards from Apple Pay (to re-order them in Wallet settings) and when I re-added them, their names are changed - no longer just generic "Maybank Card" but specific like below:

for me on iOS 16b56, changing the default card or order in Wallet app doesn't change the order in Settings. also it seems only my Mastercard gets the Automatic Selection option in Settings (the rest don't)

Guys, anyone tried the clothing shops in Lalaport? Any merchants in it explicitly rejects AP? Planning to shop new clothes there next week.
