I had this same issue today. My card is MBB Ikhwan MC. I used it successfully at Petronas twice and McDonald's once, but it failed several times at Speedmart.
But when I used my MBB DC, the payment went through successfully. Idk why.

not really. just tested at speedmart 99. Transaction failed when using apple pay (MBB grab cc). Multiple retry
End up using grab ewallet

For those who have tested out the AP today…have you noticed the CC/DC number of the receipt is different from your actual CC/DC?

Example my CC last 4 number is 1234, I paid with AP then got the receipt but then i noticed the last 4 number is 5678.

Is this normal? I have tested both CC and Dc, both given different number.

cool...then i don't need to add debit card anymore. sometimes worry some merchant set min amount due to CC got fee.

if not mistaken, wjleong15 mentioned b4 HSBC staff/CS mentioned "Apple Pay" when offering him/her a CC. Help backup pls wjleong15.

I know Public bank has this restriction of can only registering one card in one digital wallet.

Last time mine registered under my Note 8 and kenak water dmg later.
Then i wanna register on new phone Note 10 lite and it keeps failing.

Called PBB and they said need to de-register the old device then only can register on new device... 
Lucky my Note 8 still can boot up (with distortion screen) and half blind remove the card.

strange, when i do the setup for my apple pay, using Maybank, there were 3 ways to verify.
enter the pin sent thru sms, call bank and one more i forgot already.

but when my wife did her setup, same bank, there were only one way to verify and thats the Call Bank option.

I have tested 2nd times.
1st shop - failed using MBB Grab CC
2nd shop - failed using MBB Grab CC, Only passed using MAE card.

above all tested multiple times. Lucky i got another card to test.

So my conclusion, speedmart 99 failed on MBB grab CC. Passed on MAE

I use Orange colored terminal, all Maybank card cc/dc failed, Ambank cc success. Tried at 99 SM

Yup, both Maybank visa (dc) and master (cc). Ambank is Visa.

Tried with Apple watch

99Speechmart - Orange POS machine. My ApplePay on SCB LFC card failed.

However second attempts using Maybank Card - FCB works!

Huh, looks like Sunmi's payment terminal support is just all over the place, people have reported MBB DC works, AM CC works, and completely opposite results on the other.. might be just their payment gateway having issue with AP..

Agree. The fact that it doesn’t even have any social media page (Twitter, FB) already enough to tell how outdated their business operation is. And remember, swiping back to long long ago comment in this thread someone who was PB shareholder did ask about AP in the AGM and got the most *don’t care* kind of answer.

Even if someone managed to reach them out and ask them about the same question again, I bet this time skali they’d straight away say “… sorry, we do not have any intention to participate in Apple Pay programme at anytime soon”.

Well to be frank, at the AGM, which is meant for shareholders of PB, their main aim is to be able to make money from the stock either through capital appreciation or through increased dividends. Looking from an outside view of PB's business, having AP is definitely not a core business and their cards business is more of a way to also say that I have credit cards for my customers just to tick a box. Their sources of revenue and profit are definitely in other areas and if I were in their shoes, would put more focus on that parts of the business as well.

Btw am I the only one who noticed that Standard Chartered is sponsoring the Apple Byte section for LYN? hahaha, well done forumers!
