Either increase exposure, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks or adjust tone curve (pull the mid tone up) in photo editor.

I thought rather obvious unless u have specifics to ur question.
*
flash. as for mine, if i increase the exposure too much in LR, the black become brighter = more noise on it unless use brush to specific skin area for brightening.

what i can't pull off is the whole picture is somewhat over exposed....it gave me a feeling of the brightness burn my eyes.

i want to ask something, how do you get your shot so bright.
every portrait/cosplay photo i saw on instagram have a very bright exposure.  hmm.gif
*
obviously the photo you posted that day not adjusted much.
some even out of focus a bit already.

if havent master portrait editing, u can always find those acr/lr preset for portrait.

Try not to use flash in cosplay convention (unless u have large softbox and not paise....). Try to use natural light as much as possible cause its more even. In other word try to get the model facing the window. Another way is to up the shutter speed so the background is darker but depend on ur flash sync.

There are a few technique u can use in LR. Like i mentioned, drag the mid tone of the tone curve. Or introduce a little vignetting so centre is brighter. But most portrait i see, they use brush to brighten and smooth out subjects face.

I'm using one, and it's slightly on the small side IMO, in terms of ergonomics and I have small hands but long fingers laugh.gif

Kit lens range a little short for my case so I got the 12-40 which is awesome, some say it's unbalance combo but for me it feels just nice.

But if you can get at SGD699 very worth it IMO.

Thanks for experience sharing.

I actually tried it hands-on, very impressed with its Dual IS especially in videography, which I'm thinking to master in near future.

I do not have any zoom lens now, only have Oly 17mm f2.8 & Kaxinda 35mm f1.7, that's why struggling T^T

I've been really enjoying the mitakon 25mm F0.95. Its sharp at F0.95 but I do notice purple fringing.

Nothing to show yet here. But this is one enjoyable lens and the focus peaking on Panasonic has been quite spot on! No worries when doing focus pull shots for video!

Oh and yeah its a very bright lens so must get ND filters for it.

2800 hkd. So roughly rm 1500.

Now it sounds expensive. But I prefer to go f0.95 lens route than go for metabones. And it does help for low light video. When shooting dim indoor video at f2.8 I can be at 6400 iso, but when widen it to f0.95 will be 1600 iso.

I ain't afraid of the dark no more with m43s.

Edit: Or was it from 12800 drop down to 1600. I forgot, but it sure made things so much cleaner.

I was looking at some sellers at taobao and it goes as low as RMB2400, quite good deal for what you get at F0.95. I think I will shoot strictly at f0.95 if I am getting this lens, f0.95 gigantic bokeh goodness all the way he he.. laugh.gif
