QUOTE(ken_zie @ Nov 22 2016, 11:02 PM) Photography noob here. Just wondering if all experts have any recommendations for cheap wide angle lens for Olympus EPL7? Below RM500 can get a used wide angle lens? can't mang. wide angle lens cost alot. 12mm cost 2k. pana 12-35 also 2k++ iinm but Olympus 9mm f/8 Fisheye Body Cap definitely in your budget live with 14mm f2.8 pana for "wider" shot

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Dec 2 2016, 05:47 PM) ringgit sucks. that day go jalan jalan at mid valley, tried the pen-f, fuh…nice and quiet shutter sound. nice but quality…but also because that reason, damn heavy. epl-8 exactly the same with e-pl7, just the look different. but in my opinion, e-pl7 morr handsome than the ugly e-pl8 agree, epl-7 is better looking than epl8. its like taking a step back. and honestly, they can skip the epl8 for a year as there's not much different/improvement over epl7 what's the market price for 12-40 pro? QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Apr 4 2017, 07:01 PM) i can't handle anything more than 12mm (24mm equiv.)...too wide. would love to get one just for Ultra wide landscape and fun of it. 12mm out of budget for me - be it 12-40 / 12-32 or oly 12mm. since its just around RM600, not bad for a beginner what really nice of this lens is - everything is quite sharp / in focus.

QUOTE(bobds78 @ Apr 4 2017, 08:31 PM) You hand-held the shots is it? Really quite sharp this Rokinon 7.5mm. Love the greens A bit too wide for me too I think 9mm (after converting the 12-32 with a wide-angle converter) is the widest for me at the moment, can't accept the distortion at the background sometimes, but this can be easily corrected in pp. yeah. hand held. gotta crop off the corner and straighten it in PP/LR why la lens price won't drop like body pricing

I spend just one hour at Japan's camera store ( a relatively small branch only ) and spend RM10XX already Cant imagine the damage if I have more time can't imagine if you stay there yeah, most of the lens i gotten is through this forum recommendation and google. no chance to test at all.....lucky got sifu2 sekalian here that give the best advise!!!

QUOTE(edwardycka @ Apr 16 2017, 12:18 PM) Hi guys, I have an old Panasonic GF3 with standard H-H014 lens. Any recommendation on which lens I can upgrade in order to have better photo quality for normal travel shooting with family? The camera was bought long time ago but seldom used. Thinking if to upgrade lens to further its usage. Thanks guys! one time off - oly 12-40mm or pana 12-35mm f2.8. i think either lens is a very good one-off investment. bleed one time and its enough for a very long long time.

QUOTE(bobds78 @ May 1 2017, 02:05 PM) I go for the lightweight version too, but the pricing seems a bit funny, lightweight doesn't mean cheaper a better material is used perhaps? more works require to take out the parts that is not crucial mostly i think replace with lighter but sturdy material.
