QUOTE(isr25 @ Oct 7 2016, 06:24 PM) I don't understand your question? Oil filter is changed once every 2x oil change - oil change (maintenance minder A) and oil change + filter (maintenance minder B). this one i don't quite understand oso - Yes its our money but how can u suggest we can choose to do both or not when the HONDA engineer create this maintenance minder A and B ?? and gave specific things to do when the minder pop up??The oil change is following the maintenance minder, and the normal maintenance is once every 6 months or 10,000km. You may do both together, or do it separately e.g change oil at 7,000km and maintenance 10,000km, or do both at 7,000km when you do the oil change. Up to you, it's your money. My maintenance minder shows that I need to change the oil at 10,000km, so I'll do it during my 10K service. btw wonder how you can get to change oil at 10,000KM - can share any tips |

You need to understand this. Maintenance Minder is only for engine oil or engine oil + filter change. Normal servicing is still every 6 months or 10,000km.btw wonder how you can get to change oil at 10,000KM - can share any tips 1. Maintenance minder A requires you to go at 8,000km, you can choose to do engine oil + normal 10,000km servicing at one go. 2. Maintenance minder B pops next at 15,000km, you can choose to do engine oil + filter change only and come again at 18,000km for normal 20,000km servicing, or do both at one go. Is it hard to understand? If you're stuck in a bad jam daily, there is no helping you on your reduced oil life. What I do is go on a long trip once a month and push the Civic hard once in a while. I find that my oil life goes up back to normal - YMMV. |

Let me be more straight forward to u.. If u wan drive turbo, the maintenance will be higher.. U will change oil shorter then 10k.. If u think this is a burden to u, just get 1.8.. Dun expect normal and turbo engine to have same cost of maintenance.. btw wonder how you can get to change oil at 10,000KM - can share any tips And the schedule in honda website is complete.. But for 1.5, the total cost does not include the oil price, that's y it seems lower.. Since u r getting a car, pls make more effort to und it more on the website, or ask ur SA.. |

It is a fact that Turbo give u more power (as the book said it is equivalent to 2.4cc power) but come with price definitely. Part of fair trade, u need to change oil engine more frequent or higher maintenance cost than 1.8cc.btw wonder how you can get to change oil at 10,000KM - can share any tips I choose 1.8cc cause i am looking for a family car with less problem. As i dont really like the roaring sound or engine vibration. So far 1.8 perform nicely and i have no issue in overtake or cruising high speed on highway. In fact my family driving Teana 2.0 and comment that my civic 1.8 is more powerful than Teana. But, definitely my brother peugeot 408 1.6 turbo is much powerful than mine. Just pick what suit ur wish profile. |

If u really sayang the car than service every 6 months or else, u can wait 10000km then only send for servicing.. EDIT: For me personally, at least service once a year even if i seldom drive the car.. This post has been edited by Nick Zelos: Oct 8 2016, 02:25 PM |

Yes, have to go on time even not yet reach the mileage. Otherwise Honda will find excuses void your warranty.same with 6 months or 10k service, if i seldom drive the car, have to go on time? Last time I don't know this info but the engine or M oil has expiry date. That's another reason why you have to service ON TIME |
