Their web interface is really "chay kai" one ! One has to read it more carefully.

If the fund is listed with a *, then not tradeable online. This Affin one is not listed with a *.

If u go direct to Affin-Hwang, u COULD get cheaper than 3%.

But it should be lump sum with a big amount right? so that can negotiate with them...correct me if i'm having wrong perception notworthy.gif

Thanks for the heads up. I am not sure how I missed out on Affin Hwang Select Bond fund before.

[edited] Cis. Not available not purchase via FSM!

Kan I already say I buy from conventional channel. And you can do that too :-) It's a good fund la. Esp for your wife's capital protected portfolio

QUOTE(puchongite @ Oct 21 2016, 10:52 AM)
Affin Hwang Selection Bond Fund appears to be a strong contender to Libra AsnitaBond Fund.
*
Actually if you look at Select Bond's composition, it's a Msian heavy asian bond fund. So it's not exactly in the same asset class as Asnita bond. The good thing with this fund is stability despite exposure in asian bonds. and the huge fund size reducing risk of single default having a significant impact to the returns and hence the low volatility

So even with sales charge it's still worth it I find.

If one has a way of withdrawing EPF, can consider investing in this also, as it beats the EPF returns.

Boss, I have the Growth PRS. The issue I have with it is, the composition of the funds it feeds to is dynamic and they seem to be changing it all the time. When I bought it feeds into Quantum and Japan growth fund, now both the funds not in anymore. So feels like now you see you, now you don't

Hypothetical question. Say if you could have the flexibility between keeping in the money in EPF vs investing in AH Select Bond Fund, would you consider withdraw everything out and put it in the bond fund ? wink.gif

Hypothetical answer:

You eat full full, too free nothing to do izzit?

Why do I say the above?

KWSP is quite heavy into bond. Hence when you want to participate in EPF-MIS program, it makes no sense to put it into bond fund.

Err, I think put all retirement money into 1 single fund is not a good idea lor. anyway my MIS is in equity funds. Select bond is cash investment

Affin-Hwang PRS Growth Fund is lousy, who ever fund manager who put up that composition should be dragged to the courtyard to face the firing squad, then his body hung, drawn and quartered.

Both the fund started with RM 0.50 as their base NAV at the same time of inception. Today, the NAV for moderate fund > than the Growth fund.

D1U N14M4H!

Go change to Moderate or if you want to, spend the RM 25.00 and transfer out all of the Affin-Hwang PRS to CIMB punya!
