After you link your debit card to paypal, i think you need a few working days, the 4 digit numbers will show on your "Debit Card History" ...

What to do if I have my mom's credit card ... I registered the paypal account with her details on it . Can I skip verifying and just buy straight away ? Or I have to verify it using the credit card ? It's Maybank's Master Card .

tis is part of the mail i receive
Dear XXXXXXXX, Thank you for contacting PayPal. We regret the delay in responding to your service request. I understand you were concerned about transaction fee. The transaction fee is same for all account types. There is no difference for you to receive money with a personal account or a premier account. As a personal account, you will be charged the same transaction fee when you receive a payment from your buyer. |

Especially website like paypal and others online store that store the database of their users details including cc details. I feel it's actually safer with public bank visa electron debit card as we need to top up the card ourselves. If we lose it or the details are hacked, they only can spend what left in the card instead of cc which they can spend as much as they can below the limit. But paypal is pretty safe if its Privacy . Haha , Even if they got it ... They will be bumped with passwords in order to proceed . |
