I think no need photocopy of your bill statement. Just photocopy of your ID card and electric bill would do =)

Use another bank debit/credit card. I have used both Public bank, Maybank and RHB debit card with no problem. Maybe you can try these banks. Most bank should be able to verify your card, maybe try contacting your bank and see how they resolve this problem.

You don't top up your ebay. But only can top up your Paypal account.

But I would not recommend you to use the top up function. As me and quite some paypal members encountered missing funds after the top up. And ended up some members not even able to retrieve back the funds.

I would suggest the alternative of linking your card directly to your Paypal account for payment.

I have a friend also encounter this problem before. After changing to other bank's debit card then can pass through already. Is it because you didn't enable online transaction? Just a guess..

My friend use Maybank at 1st but fail. After that I recommend Public bank den no problem. But so far I use Maybank debit card also no problem.. I think it's better to ask bank and see what's the problem..

Different staff replies differently. Last time I asked the Cimb staff through the bank's branch, they tell me can use Cimb debit mastercard for Paypal registration, in which the 4digit code you'll have to request from the bank for the Paypal verification.

After that I give up because cimb debit mastercard is not that convenient. Can't even access online to check my balance and transactions. Try using Public bank. So far so good for me.

Hmm I don't think that's normal. Maybe you could try calling the bank to ask why the error message come out or maybe system delay? As I remember I could check my balance as soon as I got the card.

Mine also Day to Day visa debit card. Mine is link to savings account of course. Weird problem. I think only the bank staff could answer your problem here.

not safe. u will not get any protection. in case he runs away, your money would never able to retrieved back.

P/s: This case happens a lot last time when there are sellers offering paypal funds. So now lowyat forum has banned selling funds because of this matter.

As far as i know only can open 1 paypal account. If they found out you open 2 paypal account under the same name, they will banned both accounts permanently. It's stated in their terms and conditions.

Unless both accounts are different. One personal and one premier.

Yeah just give them. Paypal is like that always. After the verification wouldn't be any problem anymore. I always give them IC and my utility bill scan copy only. If you receive money then simply generate one receipt and scan to them can already.

Because the top up function itself is carried out by RHB itself. I guess from now on you'll have to get a RHB savings account to do any future top ups..

If have debit/credit card then link to Paypal account bah.. It will deduct directly from your savings account.

Hmm it says depends on the card issuer. So I guess if the credit amount lands as your Paypal balance, you'll have to withdraw it out manually and any additional charges from withdrawing and currency rate differences might have to be accounted by yourself. hehe

No need Mr. Enter directly your name. Sometimes if you mis-arrange the order of your name also can pass through, as long as all info matches

Using paypal link to debit card is the best in terms of charges(No charges for buyer), conversion(follow bank rate) and safety(able to open resolution case).

But actually either way is the same. Since now most e-commerce website provides protection plan for buyers whenever they place order. Unless you're going to those unknown websites then use Paypal is better.

The best safety plan is using credit card linked to Paypal. As they can apply resolution case and in case it fail, able to apply chargeback via bank.

Have u check if the amount is more than your online withdrawal limit? Also check if u have allow online transaction for ur debit card or try again later. Ur final solution is by calling the bank to check.

Yeah you could try paying directly using credit or debit card in eBay. If the error code still out means it is your bank card's problem. Or maybe you could try tomorrow.

As I have one time too encountered this problem and when tried on the next day, the transaction is able to pass through again.

*Make sure the withdrawal limit is for online withdrawal limit, not atm withdrawal limit which is different.

If you pay using 2 debit card then the amount will be separated into 2 transaction already.. No way to make it as one since it's using different card. I think the transaction wouldn't pass through. As previously i tried to pay some fees online that exceeded my withdrawal limit, and ended up have to pay it 2 times separately.

Added on January 22, 2012, 2:27 pmYour account has been hacked, just go your transaction there for the USD 49 and click on the open a dispute or resolution case. The funds would be refunded to you after the investigation is completed which shall take up to 2 months. If better, call up Paypal and seek advice into it.
