hey guys,

can anyone tell me why the paypal conversion from RM to USD is so high despite the drop in the US currency?

Exchange rate:
1 Malaysian Ringgit = 0.324437 U.S. Dollars

Current exchange rate on Public Bank is just 3.0720

Conversion is only available for your balance in USD only. You cant change your MYR to USD but you can change USD to MYR, as said before only USD is able for international currency trade.

So the only way is to use the MYR amount that you have, maybe purchasing GSC cinema tickets =) Or withdraw it to your bank account.

Most bank accepts Paypal. By debit card you could go for Maybank, PBe, Rhb. But for credit card I think any bank would do.

Which bank did you asked regarding to Paypal? To become verified, you must have a debit/credit card to link to your Paypal account.

If you want to use Paypal normally using a bank account only (Top up), you cannot be verified. Thus if you're making huge transaction using your Paypal account, there is very big chances your account will be limited under suspicion. If you just want to use Paypal for very small transaction then it will be okay without being verified.

Bank account verification is only applicable for US residents only. For other countries including Malaysia, we have to use debit/credit card.

You should try asking the younger staff. Some older staff hardly know about these. I have even asked 2 staff working in Maybank and they doesn't know what is eBay.

By transferring money out from your Paypal, you can choose to transfer to your bank account or credit card. Just click the withdraw button in Paypal and follow the steps there. You will get your money in 3-5working days.

I don't need to top up money to my Paypal account as it will be direct debit from my card eventhough the balance is shown as 0 there.

Verify using debit card and need to type in bank account details too. Usually when you register debit card you will have a savings account which is your bank account also.

Ya debit card is using money from your bank account similar to atm card. It cannot be over used.

Public bank or RHB. For Maybank you need to do additional setups before you could do online transactions.

Public dont have any additional setups. Obtain the card and you're good to use it anytime. For maybank u have to setup the online transaction which is in your Maybank2u inside. And you have to do it yourself.
