CIMB DA is for graduates only rite?
shops that accept amex still a minor in msia. VISA prefered but not the green head.. lol
thanks for the info btw.. maybe i'll go check out the visa+amex =)
cheers~

Yes, CIMB DA is for graduates but I think this has been discontinued by CIMB. It used to be one of the best credit card plans for fresh grads in the market. biggrin.gif
Yes, link AmEx to PayPal, though I heard the charges are slightly higher compared to VISA and MasterCard but for the 5xTP and weekend cash back, I think it is more worth to link my AmEx rather than my VISA and MasterCard.

hello, i need help from u guys to verify something for me.

i opened a maybank acc already, got the ATM card, opened paypal, already verified n linked...etc

so now, currently in my paypal account theres myr150, and i visited certain websites to shop but apparently they cant complete my the transaction because they want "instant payment". after a while, i found out that:

1."instant payment" can only be done from US bank account to another? is this true?
2.how can i know that the website im shopping can transact in MYR?
--because i just clicked buy on a website thinking that i cannot buy it, but it turns out i can. so now im myr30 poorer haha

3. how do i convert MYR to USD? is it automatic? should i tweak my maybank & paypal account here in there?

You could buy GSC ticket using your Paypal RM balance. =) the RM balance could only purchase items in RM or merchants that accept payment in RM.

Not sure bout the instant payment. but you could try clicking it. You can know website that accepts transactions in MYR very easily. See that the figure is in RM then means it accept MYR.

But not recommended to have MYR cuz seldom got merchants dealing in MYR. USD is more favorable as it is accepted worldwide.

Yup correct just as you said! It will deduct the balance account first. But make sure the transaction is in RM and not other currency.

Can someone here help me? Last month I had successfully top up my paypal account with USD53 using maybank2u to buy an ebay item. Suddenly I changed my mind and didnt buy the item because the delivery time took so long. So I refund the money in my paypal account hoping that it will go to my maybank account back. But it has been more than 2 weeks now and I have not received my USD53. It stated in my paypal history that the refund is complete but no money in my bank account. What should I do?

Double check your bank account statement carefully. If still not there, call up paypal and see what they could do. As usually it took just 3working days for the process so complete.

Can you print screen and show us here? Not sure what do you mean by different.

Do you mean the balance is different in available and the bolded one? Do you have any pending balance?

Hmm I don't see any problem in it. The Bold figure is the total amount your Paypal has, including the USD and MYR balance combined together. The RM10 is converted $3.23 Usd according to their own currency rate. You could change the currency shown on the balance by clicking onto the "manage currency" button there.

Lets say you want to buy a product in total to RM15:

It will deduct from your balance of RM10 and another RM5 deducted from your USD balance amount.

But if you want to purchase USD 15 product:

It will deduct from your leftover balance USD3.24, and another USD 11.76 from your bank account. The RM10 balance will remain untouched because of different currency. Bear in mind only USD is acceptable for international currency trade.

Conversion is only available for your balance in USD only. You cant change your MYR to USD but you can change USD to MYR, as said before only USD is able for international currency trade.

So the only way is to use the MYR amount that you have, maybe purchasing GSC cinema tickets =) Or withdraw it to your bank account.
