QUOTE(Chipsy @ May 19 2010, 09:17 PM)
Hi,

So sorry to ask this, but appreciate if someone could help me,
After receiving payments from my customers by paypal, therefore my paypal account has MYRxxxx.

Then, I do make payment thru paypal for purchases. But since my funds in paypal is sufficient enough, yet Paypal deducts from my Maybank account?

1. How is it possible to make them deduct from my paypal balance?
2. If i transfer to my maybank account, will maybank make a deduction from there again.

Hope someone can reply me...

Thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

first of all.. are you linking your Maybank Visa Debit to your paypal account ?

By right, when you purchase any items using Paypal, paypal will usually deduct the balance first, if it's insufficient then it will deduct the remaining from your card.

Withdrawing paypal funds to a bank, paypal will charge you a fees.. kindly check their fee/rate page. But usually there will be conversion involved. e.g FOREX conversion . But i'm not 100% if there's any conversion done if your funds are in MYR... Anyone can confirm on this ??

I got my paypal account freeze for doing pre-sale items using paypal. Now all my money is stuck inside. And I heard people say even though they unfreeze my account, the money could only be taken out after 6months. bye.gif

I have a PayPal account which is linked to my CC. I've bought stuffs using PayPal but never received any money/refund through it before. My question to the experienced people:
If someone sends money to my PayPal account, where will the money go? Will it end up in the bank account of the CC? (like when someone deposits money to your account no). This question might seem dumb, but I need clarification on this. Thank you in advance.

Oh alright. Which means the money will be debited (+) in my PayPal account and whatever I buy next time will be deducted from that amount first right?

Hi,

Need help from sifu.... icon_question.gif

I need to purchase something from US, which only accept US credit card or Paypal, so when i try to pay using PayPal, i received this msg "Paypal does not allow your country of residence to ship to the country you wish to" . The merchant only ship item within US. Am thinking to use vpost or borderlinx to forward the item back, after pay using Paypal (the account is link to local credit card with local address).

Has anyone encounter this before? What other options available? Create a US Paypal address and transfer fund to that Paypal account? How? hmm.gif

Many many thanks notworthy.gif

Hi again,

Yes my paypal is linked to maybank debit card. Well, they did not deduct from my paypal balance. I was actually wondering why. They made a straight away deduction from my bank account. I make payments in USD, but my preferred currency is MYR.

So my paypal money is stuck there even though i have made a few payments using paypal.

Hope someone or you could help me on this?

something definitely wrong here..

i have this question about trading using paypal. Sorry if this question has been asked before.

Since now paypal allow trading in MYR, let's say I have USD 50 in my paypal account. I want to pay someone MYR25 to buy something. Will the conversion be done automatically from paypal or it will not convert and charge from my credit card?

Similarly, when I receive money from MYR, does it display as MYR or will automatically convert to USD?

Thanks.

If the seller conduct sales in USD you have to pay in USD, if the seller conduct sales in MYR you have to pay in MYR, all sales will not exchanged to other currency, it will be like that until you perform transfer in different currency, for example, if you pay USD but in your account have MYR, the system automatic will exchange them and charge to your card if your current paypal balance are not enough to pay.

I guess you need to contact maybank to ask for the code and they will refund USD1.50(not sure with amount).

if u wanna transfer money to your debit card paypal will charge RM 20.00 and maybank will oso charge RM ++ as well i not sure the amount.

perhaps the best solution is transfer money to your maybank account instead of debit card,

if u transfer to your maybank account - paypal will charge RM3.00 if below RM400 or Free above RM 400 but bank will charge RM5.00(according pb bank)

if u use paypal to pay then they will use USD 50 convert to MYS with Paypal rate if u have enuf balance.

When u receive u will receive in MYR , USD will convert to MYR with paypal rates as well

I have tried to verify my paypal account before with two different debit cards but both failed.

Both banks gave me the same reason. Debit cards can no longer be used with paypal. Anyone else encounter the same situation? Could it be a directive from Bank Negara.

hmm.. i have one personal and one biz account with paypal.. one using debit card another using credit.. i dun see any issue verifying...
how much do you have in your debit card? if your debit card account is seperated from main account. make sure you have about RM35~40 in your account before u attempt to verify. and make sure you enable VbV or MSOS for your debit cards so that i can be used online =)
