Carey have always been more or less a private island by Sime, they have plantations there and some resort like thing going for ppl who wants to "see" palm oil.
This is likely to be an exercise of govt putting money in their own pocket. Not sure how this giant port will pan out, will it be for containers? Bulk shipment? Who else is investing in the bulk storage etc? |
