From the battery app, see what is eating ur battery.. are the apps running in background? does it autostart? If you want to save battery, disable any apps from running in background and autostart as well.. leave those important as it is.

And it also helps to reduce the amount of apps installed.. we dont really know what really goes on in the background eg drains battery, use internet data, backup photos, syncing emails, etc..

How long does ur phone lasts per day? Do u keep ur wifi, bluetooth, gps, etc on all the time?

For me, once phone charged to 100%, I disconnect the charger and set the Battery Saver mode on.. it will last longer. Just make sure all the important apps to push their notifications, or else u'll be missing incoming data.
