was lucky to get one unit recently.

bought from lazada @ 13 Dec. unit delivered @ 15 Dec. ordered grey unit (black front panel), but inside was silver (white front panel). checked the box, outside sticker wrote 64GB Grey. so, they mixed up what's inside vs outer sticker label.

at first, didnt bother much. loaded with webe unlimited sim card. full speed 4g lte. unit came with 8.0.3.0 global rom. flashed to 8.0.4.0 global rom (1.3GB) via ota updater. everything runs smooth.

was thinking, oh well, why not go back to replace with Grey unit instead.

went back to Terabyte @ sunway mentari to replace the unit immediately. no fuss, easily replaced with no questions asked. update again to 8.0.4.0 global rom (another 1.3GB download) again.

posted price RM753.00.
using cimb cash rebate card, immediate discount RM75.30 @ 10% at checkout. it was 13-Dec, got CIMB logo in lazada product page.
nett price RM677.70.
after getting my cimb cash rebate RM30 (max cashback with spending up to RM600 for ecommerce/online) later this month, final unit's nett price would be RM647.70, just under RM650

using maxis 4g or webe 4g, the page can load but cannot stream video. the loading circle just circling and circling.

if i hotspot out to another phone, that phone can stream and view the video.

if i connect to wifi, can stream and view also.


i thought webe network issue, but maxis 4g sim also same thing.

yup, targeting uob 10% + funky10% RM50 max, hopefully can get both discounts. final price target rm686.20.

if use shopback, even better deal. too bad my uob yolo cashback quota finish, else additional 6%.

no la, 1st unit was a gift, surprisingly darn good unit. for a nett price of RM650 with 3GB/64GB dual-SIM LTE, just amazing.

2nd unit bought yesterday, bought on behalf of someone else that i recommended that person desparately need a good phone but not too pricey since he only need a basic, long-lasting battery phone.

3rd unit, actually been looking for myself to replace Nexus 5 (too poor to get Pixel). SD variant came out, been waiting for it till neck long long. will still wait patiently till it come to M'sia or very good deal in Lazada for MTK variant.

MTK or SD, i dont mind. just looking for good deal.
