thinking to buy from terabyte too. 32gb + 3gb MTK version. today is CIMB bank 10% discount. let's see when is UOB or Maybank day then i will pull the trigger. this seller is good right? you know where is their shop?

yea both got pros and cons. mtk version solid build with full metal body and looks better with chamfered edges. sd version better battery life with the power efficient SoC.

here are some nett price comparison between G5 and Lazada, with the following assumptions:

1) all selling price is the same, which is unlikely. so i just use this as a loose guide.
2) G5's 106HLM discount still working next month on Tuesdays (7, 14, 21, 28 Mar)
3) Lazada's 10% UOB discount working (was not working last week due to cart issue)
4) shopback/centease/milkadeal not taken into consideration
5) my UOB YOLO cashback quota still empty



Summary:

1) best MTK 3GB/32GB is from G5|Gtronics at RM735 selling price, nett price RM591.26 after all discounts from credit card.

2) best SD 3GB/32GB is from G5|Gtronics. nett price about RM689.02. Take MTK variant if wanna save RM97.76.

3) for 3GB/32GB, MTK vs SD, nett price difference is RM97.76. Both from G5/Gtronics. I wonder if it's justifiable for the almost ~RM100 difference.

4) MTK 32GB vs MTK 64GB, nett price difference is RM50.85. If you dont mind doubling the storage with minor price difference, get this one from Woo Phone. Delivery not fast (about 3 days), but unit was original China ROM, unopened box, need to manually flash to Global ROM. Too bad, the stock is finish as of today 26 Feb. Perhaps can wait for few more days since i'm planning to get a 3rd RN4 only next month.

G5's 106HLM not working dah 

my discount table was correct at the time of writing, but with the assumptions that the discounts would still work in March (which i planned to buy my 3rd unit).

since now the 106HLM already not working, the whole table is invalid (for G5) except Lazada's 10% UOB discount on Tuesday.

again, pricing changes (*ahem*manipulated*ahem*) on daily basis, technically the table had very short accuracy 

eg Woo Phone not selling RM759 for 3GB/32GB at Lazada today. It's been jacked up to RM805.

1- Xiaomi purposely didnt state RN4 uses which sensor so its all depends on luck. Some RN4x user reported they got Samsung sensor while some other got Sony sensor.

2- SD653 is still in rumor, not sure if it will be available or not.

My 4X is using Sony sensor.  But got people 4X is using Samsung one as well...

By comparing between RN4 MTK and RN4X SD, i feel that RN4 MTK variant looks much more Premium and Classy.  Anyway I sold off RN4X yesterday, and back to RN4 MTK.
