It's just that Xiaomi (Mr. Hugo to be precised) is not saying anything about releasing Snap variant... So,  many of us and Indian markets are eagerly waiting the "unicorn" variant to be announced.

If they skipped the Snap variant, then, they will lose Million$$$ of potential profit in India market alone... They are hoping India will continue to buy RN3 Pro till next year Q2 (i.e. RN5 Pro release)

Ok, before I quickly jump into getting this baby.. Can anyone tell me how's the gps working so far? Is it good enough for Waze, Here WeGo, Pokemon Go, etc..? Need to know bcoz travel a lot and rely on gps most of the time. Thanks

If u visit Greenfone Gadget's fb, their import sets are installed with global stable roms n google playstore, as per their statement. So, can get from them if u want hassle free import sets.. Im intrigued to get one from them also..

Main concern is the gps as prev chipset x10 wasn't quite good utilizing its gps.. Slow locking, inconsistent tracking.. Wonder if this new x20 has rectified and improved its gps

Is it worth to get the RN4 now?

Saw at lazada the 3gb 64gb version, rm827 (by dfaro, got 2yr wrnty).. Today cimb got 10% app discount, so can get rm744.30 (but cant use voucher code)..

Another one by TM Gadget, same 3gb 64gb, rm759.. No cimb discount, use voucher LOGIN50 to get rm50 discount, become only rm709.. but 1yr wrnty only.

RM 755 - 75.50 (10% cimb ccard via app) = RM 679.50 biggrin.gif

Got good reviews too, hopefully mine is also in perfect condition with Global ROM and MIUI 8..

I searched for "xiaomi redmi note 4 64gb". Then, I sorted to display from lowest price. Out comes all the accessories etc, I filtered the price range from rm600-900. Then, slowly go through one by one.. read the reviews, what's included, warranty, from all of the sellers.. Somehow, found this one.

Yup. My phone has arrived at office, but im currently at site, will take it later otw back. If it's not global rom, then just reflash it. It's been awhile since i flashed an android other than my ancient Note 1 to get android 6.0

+ it CAN set locale to Malaysia
+ it can OTA update

Haven't tested the rest yet.. but it should be ok.

Unboxing and quick tests revealed everything's working fine but I haven't primarily use it yet because still finding a case and a screen protector. Once I get those two, only then I will use it hehe.. an old habit every time I get a new phone

Haha.. Btw now at directd, tp xbukak lagi.. Went to Gadget666, they dont have any RN4 accessories.. Guess have to lepak at mamak while waiting for directd to open..

Update : Both shops only have clear silicone casing worth Rm10.. but no flip casing, no screen protectors, no tempered glass.

Anyone updated to the latest MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM 8.0.4.0.MBFMIDG yet? Feedbacks on it eg better battery utilization?

One more thing, why sometimes whatsapp notification wont appear, need to go into the app and see many unread messages.. Or bcoz im using the beta version?

Yes, i did that too.. but it still misses a few messages. Another additional step that rectified was by going to the recent app screen, swipe down the whatsapp app, and tap on the 'lock' icon. This will lock the app within the memory even if u clear it via the 'x' button beneath it.

I've read in one of the miui forum threads, the EU rom is more stable, snappier and better battery utilization compared to the official global rom.

Anyone using the Eu rom? Any significant differences? Thanks in advance.

Wow.. last fully charged was ~1 day 8 hours ago (32 hours ago), and battery still got 50% left. Data was on all the time, brightness was set to auto, whatsapp was the only app i gave permission to autostart and 'lock' in the recent app list. Superb!

UPDATE 11.11.2016 :

Looks like the seller has came back online.

Anyway, the price has dropped from RM 755 to now it's RM 739! Today, got hsbc ccard 5% discount via desktop, or 10% via app. So, if RM 739 - 73.90 = RM 665.10 (free shipping). thumbup.gif
