Another point to note is that RN4 Snapdragon version has Sony IMX258 camera sensor while MTK version has Samsung S5K3L8 sensor (similar with Redmi 3s). Still considering whether it is worth or not for Rm100 price difference.

1- performance yes, efficiency SD625 wins. I dont gaming tho.

2- plastic at top and bottom is not a build quality issue coz it will not bent if dropped accidentally, and i think plastic will be a better "cushion" than metal. Still gonna use casing so no problem.

I believe both will not pass durability test on jerryrigeverything channel anyway. 😅

Mine just arrived. Bought from Lazada @ Rm768 - Rm50 (FUNKY10 voucher) - Rm21.35 Centease cashback (1st time using this so not really sure about it) and free tempered glass. Thus total damage is less than Rm700.

I bought from this seller. Not sure reputable or not, but i see him on 11street. AFAIK I think if order from Gtronic at gemfive is safer, especially if any problem occurs.

Just noticed this too. Upon checking gsmarena, i found out that RN4 sd is 0.1mm thicker than mtk one, and sd version also 10g lighter.

Xiaomi haven't release SD652 version yet. It is either SD625 or Helio x20.

Other than upper part, does the case can fit really well? How about case like below, which the upper part is not covered.

Nice review from techtablets. Close to 15 hours SOT on heavy usage. Personally i don't think mediatek one can come close to this. But other than exceptional battery life, everything else looks same tho.

I think for malaysian set it will be Rm899 at least.

RN4 india = RN4x china. The first transparent tpu case in the video is meant for RN4 mtk. Basically all Snapdragon 625 version has same dimension and cutout holes.

in that video in the description, he clearly mentioned the cases are compatible with RN4 global / RN4x so i dont get your point.


I dont own both so i cant really confirmed it. But some info i found out are:

Both SD version comes with same codename: "Mido". Xiaomi wont use same name for different phone (eg: kate-kenzo for RN3). Some user here already managed to flash RN4 global on 4x.

So far i only noticed differences for SD vs MTK. Different camera placement, holes at top, LED sensor placing and different LCD connector ribbon ( need to be extra careful when replacing lcd if broken).
