One of my friend got 4.25% in Affin by buying 1000 units of FP ASNB units. Since the FD was >100k, good deal !

I was surprised about the FP deal. Last time I went in with RHB on VP deal with 6 mth 7.8% FD. So actually not really great deal except it is 15 mth 4.25% for Affin's deal.

Could be related with branch implementation and how eager they wanted the business. 

I don't think so. Initially the FP did not go thru'. Hrs later, they called back saying the 1k units bought. 

Fp can be ASW2020, ASM, AS1M.  Either one.

In Affin this morning. Confirmed the FD promo to get 4.25% by buying ASNB FP units. Minimum is 1k units.

In fact I opened 3 FP ASM, AS1M and ASW2020 accts today in preparation for bigger things to come. After my successful try, the next counter, one Chinese lady was not successful. She was also trying to bundle it with the 4.25% FD. 

Earlier I have 2 placements of Affin 4.05%, did not know that can get the FP units bundle with 4.25% deal ! 

Thinking of terminating the last one and re-put in for the 4.25%. 

Yes, both branches I tried are in KL, both do no accept bundle with FP. Yours which area/branch in Penang?

Unlikely. Bank just have to bite the bullet for the mistakes they make.

as of today 3pm, Affin FD promo ended. I missed the boat as I was there only 3.30pm. Therefore put CIMB

Affin FD package reach quota, confirmed with Affin just now. They asked me to go in and may get a "special" package.

So no more 4.25% with UT ! Now have to plan for new home for my eggs in 2 weeks time.

Looks like RHB or UOB will be the suitable one. Hopefully by Oct 1st, some other promo comes along. 

Next best FD for common bank will be RHB 4% 12M > HLB eFD 3.95% 12M> PBB 3.88% 6M

Mine expiring end Oct and 1st week Nov .... super scared too late for anything.
