For RHB, do you know if interest is paid out every month or only at maturity which is after 12 months?

Being sentimental doesn't earn you higher returns. If one is sentimental, can just lock in FD at lowest board rate banks.

UOB Bank is offering 4% Straight Forward FD Promo for 12 months without any stupid CASA condition. To be eligible for this promo, you got to deposit minimum RM100K fresh fund. UOB is still offering 3.95% for 12 months FD tenure with minimum deposit of RM10K.

But the 6 mths HL's FD should be 3.9% as I mentioned yesterday. It was shown as 3.95% in his Facebook.

Affin's 4.25% with ASNB FP expired !   

I think I will go with UOB 4% around 4/10. My MBB GIA-i and CIMB Klibor (hopefully) mature on 5/10. So heading to UOB and also ASNB FP. 

why there such info on 3.95% pa FD at UOB website?

Thats why has to be careful. Don't jump into the wagon too fast. Has to be cool and read the details before shouting out ! 

Asked CIMB RM on their FD for 100k:

12 mth Islamic 3.85%
12 mth Conventional 3.75%

3 mth Islamic 4%
3 mth conventional 3.90%

But I am only interested in 12 mth rate. Just to be careful if OPR should drop again.

Received message from CIMB RM. Launched today, same as what I said yesterday:

"My CIMB RM told me the new Klibor to be launched tomorrow. First year return 5%, remainding 4 yrs 4.9%."

Min 65k.

My old one will be called back.

Affin Bank FD 4.13% for 13 months.
20% of FD Amount (earmarked for 4 months in SA): interest rate 2.3%
Principal amount 100k

Captain gen-x in Facebook mentioned 4% for >100k in UOB. But for Oct mth, not sure yet. I will go for this if 4% still available next week.
