Just follow the steps from SE's website....
if you have previous version of syn prog, uninstall it first* from SE's web
insert the CD ( dont plug in da w810i first)
install the CD's software
when a menu appears asking you to chose: USB cable / IR / BT
select USB( if your using the USB)
(before clicking next) plug in your phone
most likely if you're using XP it'll be able to detech your phone
mayb some pop up will come up such as this installer is not verified by xp, continue installing/ stop..... just press continue
then afta tat shud b ok

how come my post asking about custom camera driver is missing already ? Are we prohibited from talking about firmware flashing ?

hi guys planning to buy w810i.. this is my second hand phone and my first s.e.. before buying just wanna know few things

1)how do i check w810i firmware
2)how do i know battery/phone/charger/cable/memory card/earphone is a original set

to check firmware press these buttons

then just browse through it... you be able to find the firmware version

anyways,if u have the budget then go for w850i as it is future proof(3G)...else w810i is the best bang for ur buck phone in the market now....

If no, go for w850i.. the slider factor (though i find the design a bit fugly), 3G (not important for me as i don't think it's develop enough yet), Walkman v2.0 (this attracts me with new interface), track ID (useful service)

tat's d advantage, cons is NO AF (big disadvantage for me), see saw effect (sooner or later)

if you wish to save some money, go for w810i...

Sorry my mistake...should be k800i.hehe.Anyway, the thing i don't like about w850i is it's a push-up phone.I heard that it can easily get faulty if you push up too much..hehe. I should be setting my sights on either k800i or w810i.Still pondering though, hehe.

easier choice then...camera or music??? choose one...as simple as tat...

just yr DCU-60 cable, and of cos, yr PC
if u really gonna do it, be prepared, it may takes up to 5 hrs
i was damn worry when it keep repeating the same process in the middle,
finally it success after 4 hrs, thank god...

can tell u that the so called paint coming off is definitely not a problem if u take care of it(like me ),it is not a serious problem....

cover loose???the cover is tight until at 1st launch ppl complained that the back cover was to tight and very hard to remove...but with the right technique it is easily removed
