Oh i was talking about the premium version, standard variant should have alot of stock. Whether the mazda 2 is a good car or not is depend on preference. Comparing Persona and Mazda 2, the Persona has WAY better NVH and the ride is more comfortable, window viewability is also much better, you won't feel cramp in the Persona at all, the Mazda 2 feels quite claustrophobic. And not to mention the Persona is 30k+ cheaper than the M2. Ultimately why I chose the M2 is its a driver's car, with a loud but awesome sounding engine, superb handling and cornering, and the interior dashboard is the most visually pleasing in its class, even outclassing some C or D segment cars. Plus im single and drive alone most of the time, why care so much about rear passenger space.

The main thing i disliked about the Persona is the CVT transmission and its lag, though a CVT gives a more smoother transition and ride comfort (i like the gear shift feeling in M2, again its personal preference), and the awfully small wheels compared to the body.

Heard that NVH of m2 is better that city, but you said new persona NVH better than m2, meaning persona NVH is best among all b segment?

based on my previous experience , the speed of getting car is same between dealer / branches .
only if some old stock like 2014 / 2015 stock , branches may have more chances to get stock .
for brand new 2016 stock , supply is same

Yeah, i drove quite fast when testing the Persona, NVH definitely better than the M2, not too sure about City, when I tested City the NVH level was acceptable to me, but i didn't drive fast. On the plus side, with obvious road noise on the M2, you get a better feel of the road condition  , then again you get that with the firm suspension anyway.

The Persona is really great as an affordable and comfortable family car, having a family you don't have to impress girls with your ride

Have to say it looks smaller than what I was expecting hmmm.... Maybe the front is short and car is tall thus making it look shorter. The side profile really looks awkward hahahaha with the tiny wheels. If 16 inch should look more balance.

The Vios and City and almera looks significant bigger than the Persona. Front looks OK but back light is a little small for B segment.

But overall not a bad design as compared to iriz. Probably the 3rd best looking Proton model after Preve and perdana.

Have yet to see the new Saga otr ...

vincent, anymore old stock for persona sv? 

Just to let you guys know, especially manual Persona User, that power delay between second and third gear has been fix. It's fixable, kindly brought your Persona to nearest to fix this issue. No more power dropping between second and third gear. Can accelerate like mad cow already

So mayb the unit I test drove also suffer this issue... that explained the sluggish feel at startup 

where u get to test drive manual persona? been looking everywhere to test drive manual persona/saga....

Hi guys. Have been driving a standard manual version for ~a week. Below are some of my observations/issues:

1. Shifting gear from 1 to 2, 2 to 3 often resulted in immediate drop in power. Have to press more to move the car. However once above ~2000rpm power delivery is good.
2. Engine braking (and its noise) is more noticeable after 3rd day driving.
3. Radio sound will suddenly silent for 1-3 sec at certain area...searching for better signal?
4. 1st pump recorded 6.1L/100km but manual calculation is about 6.8L/100km. ~70% highway.
5. wind noise slightly noticeable above 100km/h
6. no rattling or unusual noise, at the moment.
7. cabin noise, ride and handling is rated from good to great. Car feel solid during cornering and cruising.
