Test drove  the Persona  twice and actually booked it a month ago. Was supposed to get the car last week after much delay but in the end I canceled it to get a Mazda 2 instead.

Initially I was only looking at the Persona and Honda City. Honestly speaking the Persona is very close to what the City offers. Very comfortable ride, spacious interior and that boot is so big. NVH is also really good, very quiet. And I actually like the design of Persona more than other b segment cars, especially the front. Felt it wasn't worth spending an extra 30k+ for the City.

Then I tested the Mazda 2 and immediately thought it was the best b segment for my wants and needs. Engine is loud sure and NVH  is pretty bad, rear seats is very cramp but the M2 is a driver's focused car and gosh  it rides so nice. And it has the best interior design in the segment, even better than some d segment cars.

Still I'd highly recommend the Persona

i heard some lowyater said proton got 11,000 booking for new persona. very good if true

So far officially from Proton is up to 10,000 bookings for the Persona.
Many of them will drop...not receiving bank loan.

Yup, I'm one of them, Hong Leong, Bank Rakyat, Maybank, Ambank, all reject.

Any reason why they rejected?

Becoz of high commitment, my house loan already ate 30% of my net income, then 2 credit card.

You will most probably end up with this Persona due to its Safety Feature offered. That's how I feel for myself.

what about leg room compare between m2 and persona? which is better?

Guys, I've heard 3 SA saying the Persona free service is using Mineral Oil and I have to top up for Semi or Fully... Are they even being informed properly? This will definitely affect the sales of Persona... Or just that my information of Semi Syn for free service is wrong?

Final review about Fuel Consumption after 1st service

Pump Ron 95 - RM 65.00 ( 38.23 Liter )

AMJ Highway ( Muar -Melaka, Melaka -Muar ) with a lot traffic light everyday

Can reach 470km:

300km - Speed between 110 - 150kmj and sometimes more and stop at traffic light ( more than 12 i think )
170km - Speed between 45kmj - 65kmj ( crowded/old road )

Balance estimate can go -  show on display ( 51km )

7.5L / 100km shown on other display

If you not aggressive like me, and with eco driving you can reach more KM i think and also can reach more KM if fully on Plus Highway ( not tested yet )

I can say maybe same like my 2013 Myvi 1.5 se or a little bit better.

would like to know most of your would place your booking at their branches or dealer? one SA offer me rm500 cash rebate. i opt for white one, waiting period around 1 month, doubt it though cause i had checked with proton FB page, they said min 1.5 month. BTW forget to mention i go for premium one which is the most seeking one also.

dealer will have more better deal then branches, persona premium waiting time around 1.5-2 months subject to color
